Although I really like having no mat under my office chair because that is the most convenient scenario IMO because the chair rolls easily and the wooden floor beneath it is super easy to clean, but then theres the problem of the wheels being rolled over basically the very same path over and over and… of course this will eventually wear the surface of the flooring no matter what flooring one may have. Mine happens to be bamboo. In saying all that I will get to business of reviewing this floor mat. Upon opening the box I wondered about the fact that this mat is folded into a trifold so I expected that once the mat was unfolded and placed on the floor that those folded lines would hinder the ability of the office chair to roll smoothly. And I was correct about that suspicion. Now I must say that I am not a tiny little human, so the weight against the chair rollers is more than what I would consider to be an average or more petite person would be. But I will also say that those folds don’t actually hinder the rolling of the wheels enough to cause it to stop but it isn’t completely smooth. I hope that makes sense. The color I chose is: DARK GREY and the surface of the mat is a corduroy like material which looks nice but maybe not a good choice for Someone with pets. SIGH. Corduroy is one of those materials that looks great -until it doesn’t. IYKYK The size I chose is approximately: 35 inches x 47 inches, which is a good size even for an oversized office chair because the chair doesn’t roll so far that it rolls off the edge of the mat, so the size is good. I appreciate that the bottom side of the mat has little knubby silicone dots that grip onto the flooring but there is also four stickers to use if needed to help to hold the mat securely to the floor. I did not use the stickers as the backing does work sufficiently without need of the stickers. The quality is good enough but I would not choose this again given the expense for a corduroy mat which will no doubt wear easily given it is not a solid surface. Read more

I waited to review this until we had really given it a good test run, and the result is: it's okay. It does its job. My husband works from home on the second floor of an older house that has wood floors. We added this and now it no longer sounds like a thundering horde of elephants every time he rolls back from the desk. It flattened out nicely from the initial arrival, and the quality of the material is thick and sturdy. It gets the job done, but my complaint is that it has picked up every hair and piece of lint that comes its way. If you have a lot of lint/debris in your house like me, you might want to try this mat in a lighter color. Read more

This floor mat works great on my wood floors. The quality feels very good, and it seems like it will hold up well over time. It’s not too thick, so my office chair rolls over it easily. It stays flat, and I haven’t had any issues with the edges or corners lifting. It also stays in place without sliding around. The best part is that it protects my wood floors from scratches. First, let me say that I am using this item outside of its intended use on hardwood and am using it on a light pile carpet under my boyfriends chair because his wheels sink in the carpet and get stuck. Despite the fact that this is meant for hardwood floors, it still works relatively decently on carpet but has all of the pitfalls you'd expect like bending and sinking into the floor rather than staying stiff and rigid but I can tell this would work amazing on hardwood/tile floors if it works this good on carpet. Also, it's extremely durable and has stood up to a heck of a beating from my boyfriend and his daughter using his chair consistently for almost two months with barely any sign of wear. The size is really good too as often these things are either not wide enough or so wide that they don't fit under the desk properly. Overall, this looks great and was easy to install as it was just a matter of opening it and laying it down then flipping it every day until the folds came out. Read more
