I bought these to hang a bath brush in the shower and it has been fantastic for that. Recently I wanted a hook on the side of my tool chest and since I only used one of this for the shower, I used the 2nd one there. In both cases, the suction cup has some stickiness to it for putting on the wall then you turn the knob to tighten and secure it. So, its easy to use, works great, and has held up without fail for a number of months now. I don't have more shower needs for these right now, but I may buy some more to mount various things on the side of my tool chest. I don’t like liquid hand soaps, but no matter what kind of soap dish I use and how much I flip bar soap from one side to the other, shake it dry before putting it down, etc., it always ends up slimy and falling apart.
