Our family Christmas was particularly joyful this year because we did a LOT of singing. This new portable speaker really made our time together a lot of fun, as this is not just a bluetooth speaker, but a karaoke machine, a stage speaker, and a voice "transmogrifier". Everyone, from Grandma and Grandpa, down to our little niece and nephew, joined in to sing carols. Having two microphones was ingenious, especially when the two little ones sang Jingle Bells together - alternating lines! The volume is more than enough to fill the basement playroom. It was super easy to pair our iPhones to the speaker, and to use it like a karaoke machine. The bluetooth connection was steady throughout the evening, and didn't interfere with the microphones. One of the neatest features was the ability of the microphone to change our voices to "the grinch" (very low) or "the chipmunks" (a funny, squeaky, high pitched voice). It also could change a man's voice to a woman's or vice versa. Absolutely hilarious. The regular tone make our voices sound like we were in a music hall. So much fun! Functionally, this is one of neatest speakers I have seen. Both of the microphones and the speaker charge via USB-C. The microphones lasted for over three hours and charged in a little more than two hours. The speaker lasted throughout the night. Absolutely perfect for an evening of fun. We are going to be enjoying this portable speaker at our family get togethers. One of the best gifts to our family ever, and durably made. And in case I forget, there are even several patterns of lights and a carrying handle. If there was anything to add, it would be a nice carrying case. Oh, this thing is GREAT. I was impressed. The quality of the sound is very good and plenty loud for use at a party or any modest gathering. The two mics paired quickly to the speaker. Connecting my laptop to the speaker via Bluetooth was also quick and easy. The voice changing features offered lots of fun. Performance: • The speaker and both mics did a good job of avoiding that annoying feedback whistle, though it will make a horrible sound if you get the mic directly close to the front of the speaker when its playing. • I found it kind of funny the ‘computer voice’ pronounces ‘volume’ oddly when selecting the button to adjust the strength of the Echo effect or Volume (gain) value. • I wasn’t too happy to find changing the voice effect on one MIC will cause the other MIC to switch as well. We still had a blast playing with the different voices, but it would be just a bit more … extra … if each mic’s voice changing feature was independent. • The colored party lights a nice touch. I didn’t see any list to show how many options there are and what the color patterns are. • Battery life was good for both the two mics and the speaker. • The MIC performances were very strong. As you’d expect keeping the mic too close to your mouth distorted the sound. Even with the gain down at a modest level the mics were easy to use, and good a picking up sound. Karaoke: • Worked great. I paired a laptop to the speaker with ease. Then used Youtube to search for different songs with lyrics. • The music was clear and loud. The quality of the sound was also great. At 40w the speaker produced a lot of volume Would I recommend this speaker/mic combo? Absolutely! Easy to use. Paired quickly to my laptop to playback Karaoke music videos and let two people sing.
