This thing is a total game changer for road trips! Size is plenty large, though the integrated compressor does take up about a quarter of the width and about half the height on one side of the cooler - it was actually kind of nice to use as a shelf for quick access. At one point it was holding about a 12 pack of cans, an entire case of water, half a gallon of milk, a couple of boxed pastries, and some electrolyte drinks. I used the integrated app to control it, set to 33 degrees, and it held temperature with no issues. I did find that it was a lot faster to cool if you set it in the 20s and then raised it back up; I'm assuming due to me wanting the temperature just above freezing when there are individual settings for refrigeration and freezer. Without any sort of ice or anything, temperature would rise to about 41 degrees after an hour with the car off in 90+° outdoor temperatures and the sun beating down (meaning the vehicle was probably easily in excess of 100°). Not sure I would use this as a normal, unpowered cooler. Our hotel did not have a fridge in the room. Not a problem! Popped it on a luggage cart, took it to the room, swapped to the 120V plug, reversed the lid (what an awesome, easy to use feature), and enjoyed cold drinks and the ability to store leftovers for the weekend. From ice cold cheap drinks at gas/bathroom stops while on the road, to not having to constantly rebuy milk for the kids, to the flexibility of having active, accurate temperature refrigeration at any time, I'm pretty much in love with this thing, now. Will not be taking road trips without it and plan to do Costco runs (ours is an hour away) with it! Worth every penny! Read more
