Got these for my hubby - he really likes these mid-length boxer briefs! The metallic sheen on the waistband is just for visual, not a real metallic thread, but looking good! The material is soft, cotton and comfy. They have a bit of stretch, and the fit is definitely on the snugger. They are fine being tossed into a washing machine and drier. This underwear is great and of good quality! I especially like the added fabric in the pouch for comfort. The waistband is nice and wide, but somewhat tight. I have a 32" waist and ordered a Medium. But it's not overly tight. It's still comfortable and really keeps the underwear in a good position at all times. The fabric is thin but seems durable. The workmanship is very good. These are not cheap, so I had decently high expectations. I am not impressed. I am an athletic 5'11, 175lbs; I float between medium and large in most brands. I ordered the large and they are clearly no bigger than my smallest medium, borderline uncomfortable. The description in the listing is "Longer leg length", and I totally disagree; these are very short. I understand this is a preference thing, but they bunch up almost immediately for me. They also have have a weird, thick seam dead center in the bottom of the crotch, which I find very uncomfortable. The material is soft and they appear well made, so I didn't want to be too negative in my review- someone who sized up or has skinner thighs may like them. Read more

When it comes to underwear, everything has to be right: the material, the appeal, the comfort, and the design. If you fail in any one of these categories, the whole thing is a fail. Unfortunately for me, this offering from Bonds only makes it to 50%, or two out of four. First, let's look at the two things Bonds got right. The material and the appeal are really cool. I especially love the floral print, which looks even better in person. Even the plain black with the white accent looks really good. The fabric is stretchable and breathable and feels good against your skin. Now for the two things Bond got wrong, which are design and comfort, which really go hand in hand. In sum, these boxer briefs are too wide through the waist and too short top to bottom. If you're going to get them, be aware of that. I could live with the wider through the waist part, but these things are just too short through the legs. It feels like everything is being bunched up, and that's not a good feeling from your underwear. It's like a weird in-between measurement of briefs and boxers. They aren't either of those, and they aren't boxer-briefs. What they are uncomfortable as a result. I really wanted to like this underwear, but I just can't.
