This hand warmer works amazingly well. The low setting puts out a low level of heat that's great for early/mid fall. The high setting generates a great deal of heat that is perfect for all winter, especially when used inside a hand muff pack. The only thing I can compare the low setting to are the individual packets of hot hands. The high setting on this gets really hot, not hot enough to burn you, but you will really feel it! This also works really well as a body heater. I have a fleece zip up that I wear most of the hunting season as my second layer, it has a chest pocket which you're supposed to use for your phone, however, placing this hand warmer inside that pocket instead will generate a great deal of heat to be trapped inside that layer. The flashlight is a great addition if you need light quick and don't want to fumble with getting your head lamp back out of your pack. It's not incredibly bright that it will spook your game away, but it's not too dim that you can't see what you're doing. Although I have not used the portable battery portion of this device in the field under actual conditions, I have tested it at home. While it does take much longer to charge my phone, it still gets the job done. I can definitely see this being useful if you plan to hunt all day long and realize your phone is almost dead. It will charge it up over a few hours. Read more

as I charge it every evening, but this is a nice unit and works quite well. It does take 10 to 15 minutes to warm up to the point of having to switch hands. I have medium/small hands and the size of this thing is excellent: It allows for all 5 fingers making contact with the heating body. I have very poor blood circulation in my hands, and this unit works just perfect. Something that really like is the fact that there is only one setting, on and off, not fumbling with different temperatures, hot or off, and that's it. While it may be important for others, I don't care for the flashlight and the USB port, all I normally want a hand warmer is to... yes, you guessed it, warm my hands. Read more

Bought this for work. It will last up to 4 1/2 hours running continuosly on the low setting. Low was plenty warm enough for me......high cranks out some heat. The flashlight sheds enough light to read a map, load a rifle, or figure out which key is the house key. If you are expecting an LED torch that will illuminate the entire woods.....this isn't it, but it's primarily a hand warmer and it does that really well. I like that there is no additional cost to recharging like fuel and flints and no smell either. I also like the fact that you can turn it off when you don't need it , and back on when you do. The only real negative is the charging cord that comes with it. It's a very short little jumper and it is USB only. I started to use a cell phone charger to recharge it and had no issues. I have also charged it with a portable power supply, and through an inverter from the truck dashboard. I used it everyday this winter, and recharged it each night. Still works as good as the day I bought it. Read more

Gave this to my dad as an early Christmas present, since we were hunting a few days before Christmas. It was 31 degrees the first morning he used it. He said the hand warmer worked great and heated up almost instantly, never having to take it off the low setting. He also said it was much better than a Hot Hand. The phone charger was valuable too, as we usually get out before light and only get down to eat a quick bite. He likes to read or do whatever on his phone while he hunts, so having a charger allows him to read and not risk his battery dying, which would not be safe. The flashlight works great too. I will recommend this product to all Of my hunting buddies. Read more

I used this while snowboarding to keep my phone warm (so it won't auto-shutoff in really cold weather) it works like a champ and having dual low/high settings is great. While you can't charge the phone and heat at the same time, I found the battery lasts long and once it's warm enough, you can start charging the phone and turn the heater off. This is the second USB heater I had and this one lasts much longer. Recommended Read more

I got one of these for Xmas 2023 and field tested it in the goose pit on a cold day on the Eastern Shore. it almost didn't make it back; the other guys in the pit wanted to steal it. To prevent theft,I bought 10 more and gave one to each of the members of my goose group (and one for the guide). This morning it was in the upper teens with strong wind and blowing snow. Everyone in the pit brought theirs, fully charged, and really appreciated having them. One word of caution, the bulk of the thing is battery, it's not like a cell phone that will charge in a couple hours. It takes 4-5 hours to fully charge these things, so charge them up the night before using them on a cold day. Don't think you can fully charge them with the car charger on the way to the hunt.
