Firstly, I did not receive the applicator for the white French tips. I started a return but ended up not returning because it wasn’t worth going out of the way for a small purchase, and I figured I could still use it. Since I didn’t have the applicator, it ended up being months before I took them out to use, as I knew it would be more work to figure out. Once finally taking the bottles out of the box I immediately felt both were sticky all over and upon looking closely there were smudges all over the tops and color leaked around the rims. I was not only missing a crucial piece, but also sent clearly used goods. The pink is also very well used and almost empty which is extremely frustrating. I tried to use anyway since it’s too late to return, but the white really can’t be applied without the tool because it’s just a normal brush so it’s too thick to make accurate lines. Read more

I read others had issues with image transfer and I did as well until I figured out this product’s quirks. I never had a stamping polish dry so fast! As long as you are quick- immediately scraping, using stamper and getting on your nail in short order it transfers pretty well. That said, I literally had to clean my stamping plate after each time. I have used a biutee stamping polish which takes just a little product and you can stamp, use the excess on the scraping card to get more polish on the stamper and use again no problem. Born pretty is a time race- apply polish to plate, scrape, use stamper, stamp nail. Then clean the stamping plate and stamper and start again. So if you are using the same stamping image it will take you forever. The only good thing is tape removes excess polish from the stamper ridiculously easily. Like any polish lighter colors can be harder to see In the end these born pretty stamping polishes aren’t cheap and are not worth the hassle. Would not recommend. Biutee can take more paper towels to clean at the end but work much better. Can’t even consider reverse stamping with the born pretty set. What many people do not realize is that not all stamping tools are alike. If you are a novice, you don't yet know that there are various stamping polish, stamper, and plate types. They do not all work the same and they do not all work together. In these reviews, you may notice people say the stamping polish didn't work. But you should not take that to be an absolute. Seasoned nail stampers will know that not all of these tools work together. And not all brands have consistent polish. Case in point is my purchase of this Born Pretty multipack. Some of the colors are more sheer and not the best for stamping. Others work great for stamping. Note: this is not a light or dark color issue. I had varied success stamping both light and dark colors. You will just have to test the colors out on your own. I recommend taking a swipe of white and black polish on the bottle and applying a stamp of that color on top. That way you can see how the colors show up before you use them on your nails. You may find that some of the colors do not work with a certain stamper or nail plate. The image doesn't stick at all or the image doesn't pick up completely on the stamper. This does not mean the polish is garbage. Many of the polish formulas (sheer, metallic, opaque, glitter) have different consistencies and work better with different tools, as I stated above. Try different stampers - there are marshmallow gummy ones and harder, smoother plastic ones. One stamper is bound to work with each formula, but they are not universal, so you need to be prepared for some trial and error. Likewise, there are different qualities of stamping players. The details may be fine or less so. Deep or shallow. That will also affect how your polish is picked up and whether it works with the polish. Some of the polishes are more universally usable with all plates and stampers. I find the white and silver polishes to work well with more stampers and more plates. When all else fails, the polishes that aren't great for stamping, still look nice as a regular polish, so all is not lost. I removed a star from my review because this is a stamping polish set, so in my mind, all polishes should work for stamping. That being said, it is still a good value knowing there is a mix of polish usable for stamping and others that can really only be used for standard nail coloring. Read more

I got the milky pink/ white kit. The gel has held up extremely well. It could just be the top coat I used, but the gel only started chipping around day 7 and it’s only around the nail tip (not noticeable to others). I’m an extremely crafty person and I’m always doing hands-on stuff, so the chipping was expected much sooner. I’m expecting this set to last two weeks or more! First picture is the day I did the nails, second picture is day 10 ‘chipping’. This gel set isn’t salon quality, but it does the job and worked well for me. My procedure for this set: Buff natural nails, dehydrator, nail primer, adhere buffed gel tips using rubber base gel, 2 coats of milky pink, 1-2 coats white gel for the nail tips, finish with a glossy top coat. Nice selection of colors and are picked up easily by stamp. They don't smudge and dry quickly. Some of the colors are pretty faint, but against a white or cream background pop pretty nicely. One of the polishes did burst a bit in the packaging, but that seems to happen no matter what brand polish. Read more
