This year - Jan 1, 2023 - I started off at 265 pounds on a 6'0" frame. I was 61, now 62 and new it was time to make a choice. I committed to getting down to 210 pounds by December 31, 2024. I began the year rowing. I gave up any kind of soda drinks. I made significant changes to what I ate. As the year progressed and I got healthier I also introduced running into my workout. I now run 6500 meters every Saturday and Sunday morning. This began around September 1, 2023. With the weather now beginning to cool I knew I would need something besides shorts and a t-shirt to continue running. I really dislike most "sweat pants" because I carry my phone, key fob, ear buds and my concealed carry everywhere. There are now "sweat pants" that make that easy to do - much less look good while doing it. Born Tough - a brand that I became aware of via my tactical training coach - has just made me very happy.. I have found pants that meet all of my needs and give me the additional thermal protection that I need for the 6:30 am runs across the lake. They have a pocket with zipper that is an exact fit for my iPhone 14 so it does not bounce around and slap me constantly while I run. They have a clasp to hang my key fob from. They fit great and don't try to trip me as I run or walk. They have additional pockets - with zippers - so my stuff doesn't want to leave me while I workout or run. After my first run I washed them and put them away. Later that day as I was washing the car and working in the garage - again I put these pants on. They are far superior in comfort and utility than my jeans - plus there was no risk of my belt buckle or jeans buttons from scratching my car while I worked. They are now my goto pants and I will need to order a few more pair.. OH! And after paying $60 - $100 dollars for jeans - this is a huge cost savings compared. A great find!! P.S. This pants are solid and a stand out product amongst with lesser standards. Best parts they hold up, solid shape retention, quality materials, and sizing continuity. Love the “sorta” back pocket feature. Material and stitching are top of the class for joggers at this price point. Retaining shape and firmness while being soft and enjoyable to wear is a rare combo that Born Tough accomplished. My only suggestion to Born Tough is to stop using glued/ironed on little details/graphics. They do not hold up in the wash, then they come off leaving a glue stain that doesn’t look nice or represent the quality of the product. Overall great purchase. Would have been a max rating if not for the cheap graphic accents. Please fix that and continue producing. Read more
