Bosch TAS4702UC Tassimo T47 Beverage System and Coffee Brewer

This is hands down the best single serve coffee machine out there for the money! I'm a coffee fanatic. I seriously love my coffee and like to taste coffee not watered down coffee like Keurig. I had used the less expensive tassimo machine (99.99) that my daughter had. I fell in love with the coffee. Then she moved and took the tassimo with her '. So I bought a Starbucks machine, which the coffee is real good to. But I couldn't make different types of drinks and it always leaked water everywhere. I recently bought this tassimo T47 model at bed bath & beyond for $139.99 then used a 20% coupon. Love it!!! Below is pictures of my chia tea latte made by tassimo. I own the Tassimo T47 and T55. The T47 does not have a water filter as the T55 does. I saw this first in Germany and when I came home bought one for myself. I drink tea mostly but like coffees in the winter or for an afternoon pick-me-up. I really like the Tassimo brewer system for the milk drinks - lattes, cappuccinos, and hot chocolate. The milk they provide in their t-discs is liquid so it's steamed very nicely through the Tassimo brewer. The milk has a nice slight sweet taste too. I prefer the German coffees - Jacob brand - better than any others (I've tried several of the Gevalia coffees, Maxwell, and Hag). The machine reads the bar code on the t-discs, therefore, so far there is not a generic t-disc so that you can use your own brand of coffee. I like this machine a lot but it is finicky. You must follow the right procedure by turning it on, put in t-disc, close the lid, then push the start button. If the barcode reader window gets dirty, it will not operate so you need to wipe it often. And one might wonder if I've used the teas for this machine and the answer is no. I prefer to brew loose leaf teas so don't use the Tassimo for that. I've tried the chai tea once and it was terrible because it has artificial sweeteners which I can't stand. I recommend this brewer and feel that it's worth the extra effort to operate it for the quality drink it serves. Read more

We bought this coffee maker because we thought that our Tassimo, which we love and have been using for many years, had a problem. When we found out that the particular package of coffee cups were defective, we went back to using our own Tassimo. We did use the new one for just a few cups and found that it was just as good as our old one. If someone is interested in buying this new one, we would be willing to sell it at a good discount. I have no idea how and why people have given this product 5 stars. I've been a Tossimo customer for over 7 years. In fact, I bought the first generation Tossimo maker and had it for over 6 years! I liked it so much, I bought an updated model for 2 of my students who roomed together during college. They loved it as much as I did. Sadly, my awesome machine died after serving me espresso everyday for many years. Instead of heading to bed, bath, and beyond, we went to Amazon and found this machine with great reviews. Here are my issues - When it runs out of water midway through dispensing the coffee, one can't simply fill the reservoir up so that it can finish the pour like one could with the first generation machine we had. Either it doesn't finish the pour it it starts over completely which dilutes the espresso. Often times, something happens with the puck that leads to espresso going all over the place. This renders the machine unable to read the code and either it doesn't work at all, or espresso grains get into the cup along with the made coffee. Then, it takes a bit to clean it all up often requiring that I do it a few times until it will work again. This machine also allows one to close the puck into the top incorrectly. When this happens, the super hot water stays in the puck pocket. This is dangerous as I've been burned by the steam and hot water when I opened it to see what happened. While I still recommend Tossimo over Keurig hands down, I recommend any machine but this one. I hate it. I don't think I could hate it anymore than I do. This is one of the worst purchases I've made in years. My husband hates it as much as I do. In fact, this morning the machine frustrated him so much, he actually asked if I had written a poor review to keep people from making the same mistake. I hope this helps. This us our replacement for the first Tassimo we bought almost a decade ago. After researching to make sure, we bought another Tassimo. We loved our first and feel the same about this one. The J cups are not as ubiquitous as the K cups used by other brands, but Bed, Bath &Beyond has them always in stock & you can order them on line. We purchased this product on December 22nd 2016. Initially we loved it - brewed great coffee and worked like a charm. We then left to spend winter in Florida and did not take - therefore did not use - this item for approximately 3 months. Upon returning, we started using again. it worked for one or two days, then it suddenly locked up on us. By this I mean it would not open on the top to let me place any further coffee pods. We shut it off and unplugged it for a long period of time - several hours - thinking it would reset itself. No luck. Still cannot open it to use it without breaking it completely. We even tried filling the water to max level, even though it did not say it was low. No luck again! We don't know what else to do but will have to go out and buy yet ANOTHER coffee maker even thought this one only had the equivelent of one months worth of use. VERY disappointed. Will NEVER buy this brand again....too expensive to work for only one month. Read more
