I've been searching for a portable speaker to take with me when I'm out and about, needing one for different situations like by the pool, while working in the yard, in hotel rooms when traveling, camping, and more. We still have an old speaker from another brand, but it's almost ten years old, bulky, doesn’t sound great, and the battery has really worn down. The new Bose SoundLink Micro packs a lot of enjoyment into a small speaker. The sound is unexpectedly full and rich for such a small speaker; its bass is powerful, the vocals are sharp and clear, and the overall sound is well-balanced. It’s impressive how it fills an entire room with great sound. Its size is ideal for both everyday use and travel, fitting easily in my backpack, making it convenient to carry around in case I need it. The color, “Blue Dusk,” is stunning, and the adjustable velcro strap is super useful and simple to use (I really appreciate it). It seems durable enough to withstand a few drops, some dust, and even water, thanks to its IP67 rating. The 12-hour battery life is impressive, and it recharges quickly using the included USB-C cable. Connecting it to my iPhone 16 Pro Max was effortless, and the connection remains stable even when I walk around with my phone in my pocket. The speaker also pairs with the Bose app, which is a great added feature. Since I already use the Bose app with my soundbar, I can also adjust the EQ, volume, and other settings with the speaker. If you're in the market for a compact, durable, powerful, and high-quality portable speaker, this could be exactly what you need. Read more

This little speaker ROCKS! I am 100% in love. As far as appearances go this speaker is stunning. The blue is the most perfect hue ever. It is small and very portable. There is a strap with velcro on the back so you can attach to various items such as a back pack, bike handle bars, a purse strap. It is very secure. Set up was a breeze. Just download the Bose app and connect to Bluetooth. That part didn't take long at all. The sound is amazing. I was in my bedroom listening to music at full volume when different housemates came up to me and couldn't believe that much power came from such a small speaker. My husband told me he was gonna swap it out with his Bluetooth speaker that he takes to work (his is another brand). The speaker arrived already charged. The charge seems to last forever and recharging takes virtually no time at all. I have always wanted a Bose speaker (product) since I was a little girl, I am almost 45, and I am not disappointed. I would and will recommend this to everyone. I am now a Bose customer for life. This little speaker is the life of the party. I already know I will be purchasing another one soon because I can tell we are going to be fighting over who gets to use it next. Read more

I'm very impressed by the quality and max volume for this speaker given how small it is. At max volume, it sounds like the portable boombox I have, which is amazing given I can practically fit it in my pocket. It was really easy to connect, I was able to find it right away in my bluetooth setting after turning it on. The Bose app is helpful to customize the shortcut button and set some other controls. My only slight gripe is the power indicator doesn't actually show you the level of battery left. That being said, the speaker will tell you when you turn it on so it's really a non-issue, I'm just more of a visual person. The strap is a nice addition so you can attach it to your bike, wagon, bag, anywhere you need to attach it to. The speaker is also very durable, I wouldn't be afraid to drop this and have it not even be noticeable. For the price, it's a great little speaker that is convenient to use and easy to bring along on any outings where some music is needed. Read more

I’ve been using the Bose SoundLink Micro Portable Speaker (2nd Gen) for a few weeks, and it’s impressed me more than its tiny size would suggest. The Micro delivers clear, balanced sound with crisp mids and highs and surprisingly punchy, controlled bass for its form factor. It’s rugged and well-made, with a durable silicone exterior and a handy strap for attaching to a backpack or bike, and its weight and footprint make it genuinely pocketable for commutes and day trips. Battery life is solid (around the rated ~6 hours depending on volume), Bluetooth pairing is fast and stable, and the IP67 rating means I’ve used it around pools and in light rain without worry. It’s not the cheapest option and won’t replace a full-size speaker for loud gatherings, but if you want a tiny, well-built portable that sounds better than expected and survives the outdoors, the SoundLink Micro (2nd Gen) is a strong pick. If you're on the hunt for a portable speaker, let me introduce you to the Bose SoundLink Micro (2nd Gen). Don't let its size fool you-this little speaker packs a serious punch. Bose has done it again, delivering surprisingly big and full sound with that signature deep bass you expect from the brand. This speaker is built for adventure. Its IP67 rating meaning it's completely waterproof and dustproof, so you can take it to the beach, on a hike, or even into the shower without a second thought. The rugged silicone exterior can handle drops and bumps, while the new tear-resistant strap makes it easy to attach to a backpack or bike. Another huge win is the switch to a modern USB-C port for charging. Battery life is also improved, offering up to 12 hours of playtime at typical listening levels. While it's a bit pricier than some competitors and lacks a built-in microphone for calls, the SoundLink Micro (2nd Gen) is a fantastic, no-compromise option for anyone who wants high-quality sound in a tough, ultra-portable package.
