Nothing beats a Bose! We have five Bose systems in our house. Of course they all vary depending on their purpose but they are all fantastic. The outdoor speakers are great. They tie into my garage system (my garage is an elaborate man cave). We can watch the big screen with amazing suround sound or walk outside and listen to music (or whatever is on tv). They are not as true white as I would have liked but nonetheless, the sound is fantastic. Spend the extra $$ and get the best. U won't regret it for a second! Read more

I just had the system installed in my yard, I am loving it. The sound is Bose, which is IMHO wonderful. It was an easy set up, hang the speakers, join home wifi network, download and run Soundtouch app. Following the instructions, I had music in my yard in no time. As a matter of fact, I'm sitting in my yard listening to music as I type this review. The one problem with this system is the remote that comes with it. It really doesn't do anything special, it actually does less than your computer, tablet, ipod and phone once you download the app to those devices. On the remote, you're limited to whatever you have assigned to the six available presets. On the other devices however, there is no limits on what is available. In my app I have my six favorite Pandora stations assigned to the presets, my itunes as my library etc. I can switch between Pandora, iTunes and Internet radio when I use my other devices at a whim. Can't do that with the remote, all I can do is listen to my presets, control the volume, skip or replay a song and shut off/turn on system. I only use the remote when I've set the music and I'm outside. I really don't need the remote at all. One thing I forgot to mention is that all devices have to be on the same wifi network to work. The wifi adapter is very strong, it grabs my signal with no problem. My phones, tablets, video games never seem to grab at full strength but the system seems to handle it 100 times better (no drop outs). I thought I would need an wifi extender but was pleasantly surprised when I realized didn't for this system. I just wonder why Bose decided to limit this system to streaming only. It would have been nice to be able to hook my ipod directly to the system with out needing to stream everything. I understand the streaming aspects of the system but options are always nice. The amp, wifi adapter and remote holder are wall mountable but I only have the remote holder mounted by my backdoor. I plan to buy a component stand or hang some shelves to put the other items on. With everything considered, I am very pleased with my purchase. I am looking forward to many enjoyable moments in my yard listening to music with my family and friends while bbq'ing or just hanging out. After all, isn't that what life's about?! I love Bose, and am an avid fan. This product is TOO DIFFICULT to set up! We have a phone company provided router and a Netgear extended network on a large outdoor property. Bose had to provide my ISP with ports that the phone company had to open up to allow Bose speakers to communicate with my ISP router. That is ridiculous and not the phone company's responsibility. It has been a week and no one will work it out so I have a worthless expensive outdoor system. We also have Sonos and will use it exclusively from now on. It takes 2 seconds to set up anywhere. As soon as they have outdoor speakers we will be expanding our outdoor system. Read more
