The dashcam was easy to install, automatically starts recording when my car powers on, and delivers excellent video quality. I enjoy using it and especially enjoy reviewing the footage afterward. The app setup was simple, and once configured, the camera just works. I’m really looking forward to using it on longer journeys, capturing high-quality video and clear in-car audio. I'll give this a 5 star. I have yet to install the rear camera part as I need to run additional wiring having a full size truck with cap on back. The wifi creates an adhoc network that must be accessed independently to view live or recap saved video which I'm sure can be set up to repeat through an existing network with the right "know-how". I have not done this as I do not have a need. Existing WiFi and Bluetooth connection is sufficient for now. It does not have an internal battery so, constant 3V connection is required and can be plugged through USB. Look to owners manual on vehicles as, most USB connections in cars factory are either "always on" or on "with ignition". Normally can be changed by switching fuse position in fuse panel. There are multiple recording settings to meet just about any needs through settings on camera. Have not used voice settings due to my needs. The GPS functions through a sensor in the mount portion of the front camera so, make sure that has a clear view of the sky. Summary-- very well designed, very functional, great quality, worth the money! I have had an incident in the past where if, I did not have a camera operating, the police would have hands down found me at fault for. I can attest to anyone on the edge about buying any camera, think of that. If a vehicle brake checks you and you cannot prove that they did, you are going to be held liable for any collision where you hit that vehicle in the rear. That was my situation before and having a camera rolling as evidence, saved me $15,000 in repairs and can't imagine how much in what would have been in insurance rate increase. Read more
Update 10/31/25 - very frustrated w/takes forever to connect, refuses to connect, turn off bluetooth, turn off wifi . Still hasn't connected thru bluetooth. exceptionally frustrating. I hope you don't use Android Auto cuz it will override this unit connecting. Initial issues: 1) The instructions to connect are seriously incomplete - even after having a chat with rep. 2) Be aware this is always sending your GPS coordinates thru your phone data package. 3) MAJOR PROBELM- If you're in a wreck and the power is off - you're phone can't connect to the camera to show an officer any videos. What good is that? Good Luck with that. I'm returning this as a major product failure. My older dash cams were very good at being able to replay a necessary video. 4) Their 'turn-over' sequence doesn't listen to your UI selection to turn this off. It ignores your choice. Read more
Purchased this dashcam for my 26 RAM 2500 along with the hardwire kit for parking monitoring. The dash cam itself is very nice! It takes up very little space on the windshield and provides great video capabilities. The menus are very easy to navigate, and setup was quick except connecting to the app. The app itself is quirky and doesn't make sense at first. When you first launch the app it will ask you to scan the barcode or QR code on the device. Don't!! Just click the + sign in the upper right and manually add the camera. If you are connected to CarPlay/android auto, make sure you disconnect your phone from that device first otherwise you will not be able to connect to the dashcams WiFi. Once you make it through all of that, the app is very easy to navigate. You can view live video, snapshots, parking monitoring, and make changes to the camera. The value for the price cannot be beat. Great camera, easy to adjust point of view in all directions. Quality seems good, but playback is 30fps is like picture roll, jumpy video. Wish it had more settings but overall, very happy with it. Got it today, they delivered 3 days in advance of target. Item received with no damage and worked out of the box when I tested the main unit with a power charger. Video looks crisp on the same recorded. I’ll have this installed on the car over the weekend but I don’t think I’ll run into issues since the installation instructions are straightforward. Oh yeah, what I appreciate most aside from the value (Starvis 2 sensor for less than $100), it comes with all you’ll need (prying tool, extra adhesives and static tapes, and even well printed documentation). At a high level, it works. It starts recording rear and forward views. The clarity is pretty good, it’s not the greatest but very clear. Technically speaking it’s cumbersome. This is my first front and rear dash camera I purchased it for my wife, but I put it in my car for lessons learned, and my wife is very particular about cords and ease of use. Depends on your car model, the cords might not have a best place to place..both cars I drive is just not recommended The fact that you must manually make sure you are connected to the dashcam wireless network to see the see the footage or manage the video is cumbersome Once my car is off the video recording while my car is parked is not possible.
