Here's the thing about this battery: it's small and lacks power for hot days in the car. I have used this with my BougeRV 23Q fridge, and here's the thing: there were a few weeks that we had a heat wave in SoCal, and my Grand Cherokee would be hot in the parking lot at my job. I would leave it running with eco mode at 40°F, and I would get maybe 6 hours from this battery. But at night, when I had a fully charged battery and it was, say, 70°F outside overnight, my battery would only drain to about 85%, which is great for an overnight on a cool day. I also noticed there were a couple of days where I left the fridge connected to the battery while also charging to my 12V socket, and the battery would get hot after a few hours and stop charging, but it would continue powering my fridge. So, I'm thinking it has some heat overcharging protection. Overall, the battery is fine for a few hours, like 5 to maybe 6 hours a day in the summer, but for longer trips and lower temperature settings on your fridge, you need more juice. I would say a 1000 to 2000 Jackery would be a better choice. But if you just want a couple of hours, then this battery will work. Also i dosent come with a house Charger which i think that makes no sense, they only include a 12v socket charger. Read more

I've been testing the unit for a week now and am impressed. The only reason for giving it 4 stars is the documentation is terrible. The manual describes what a certain button will do but doesn't offer any suggestions on how or when to use it. I found it very frustrating and had to experiment to learn how to set it up properly. I recommend the product, just be ready to spend time futzing with it to learn how to use it Update - downgraded from 4 to 1 star. I used the unit on a 6 hr trip. At the end of the trip the unit was extremely hot. I noticed that the refrigerator never used the car battery for power. I tried to charge the unit with the UBC, after 12 hours it stopped charging at 45%, showing 0 percent input while it was still plugged in. To get it to continue charging the cable had to be unplugged then plugged in again. Originally it would show that it was charging when plugged into the cigarette lighter, I can't get it to charge via the car anymore. I'm not sure if the unit got damaged from what I think is excessive heat, but it was used per the directions, with clearance in the trunk for air space around the refrigerator. In any case, my experience is that this was a failure and I am returning it - sad because if it worked as expected it would have been a great addition for road trips Read more

The portable battery was a lifesaver on our recent National Parks road trip. We were able to keep the refrigerator in 12V power no problem while driving, but when we stopped to do any recreation activities, the switch over to the battery pack was essential. I’m not a huge fan of the price or the fact that the plug-ins for the battery are only compatible with the brand’s pricy items.
