Another Review?!? Dang it all!
Well, for the record, I write reviews for Amazon’s Vine Voices, and the last thing I want to do on my “time off” is write another review, especially when it’s something I paid for myself. BUT!! I was actually considering writing one for this product because I almost didn’t buy it due to the reviews. (I don’t like strong, sweet, water additives.) I also use this brand’s plain colostrum because of the price point, and then I found I really liked it in my coffee. It’s hot here 3/4s of the year, so when I saw this flavor combo I was excited to try it. Then, like I said, overall, the reviews convinced me I shouldn’t bother. But then, the price convinced me otherwise. Here’s the thing, yes there is a LOT of flavor in one scoop, more than a non-sweetened beverage drinker would likely tolerate. Frankly, I couldn’t choke down a full scoop in only 8 oz of water. So, I divide the serving up, throughout the day, in my 30 oz tumbler. And I go through at least three of them a day. When used this way, I have no problems with the flavor, the sweetness, or the fruity aroma, which I find a delightful change from lemon or green tea. I throw it in a tumbler half filled with ice, pour the water over it, and it dissolves quite quickly. Sometimes I have to give it a little shake, but with ice rolling around, it mixes up pretty darn quick. The taste and aroma is such a nice change that I look forward to using this peach and mango flavor colostrum powder. I even become a bit “disappointed” when I have to use plain water at night. The benefits of cholostrum are notable, and the added bonus of pre & probiotics makes it a win-win. I’m not going to tell you that if you throw a whole scoop in a regular sized glass that you won’t feel exactly as others who have claimed it was too sweet. It is sweet; but for me, it’s delightful to sip on all day. Better yet, this means I’m getting an ongoing infusion of the benefits of cholostrum and gut nutrients. Well, after getting a gentle request from the seller to review this product, I felt a sense of obligation to do so, since I had already considered doing it. I happen to appreciate my frugalness in this case, which resulted in my over riding my gut reaction to other reviewer’s opinions and just tried it. I will continue to use this product, probably becoming a staple during the hot seasons. As with my other reviews, if something changes, I will come back and write an update. Currently under the $5 price point and with 30, 3.5 gm, servings, that’s a bargain for something I like so well!! Ironically I just picked up my tumbler to take a drink, and yes, I’m enjoying it in my ice water right now!! Give it a try, a whole month of health benefits for less than a Starbucks!! Great value!
