The media could not be loaded. These are sharp, but not meant for cutting boxes...the blade is too thin for that. I ordered these because it was a good value and I could never find my box cutter. I loved the one I had as it was metal, durable, and felt nice to hold. But these really impressed me. They are beyond handy, light, and don’t take up a ton of wasted space in a drawer. I loved them so much, I ordered a second set. I currently have a few in the kitchen junk drawer, one in a bathroom drawer, one in my car, one in the laundry room, and I put one in a hide-a-key that I stashed by the recycling bin. I pretty much put one anywhere I’m usually opening boxes or packaging + my purse because I’m always opening something on the run. I would, however, advise anyone with small kids to be a little more conservative in placement. All in all, these are so worth the value and convenience. They arrived as pictured and in perfect condition. The work as described with a sharp blade that automatically retracts when you let go of the press lever. The colors are gorgeous (not that color impact my decision to purchase) and helps them stand out in the drawer. This far the plastic casing seems very sturdy and well made. These are perfect! I love having a set of 4 ...I have one in my purse, one in my desk drawer, one near the kitchen trash, and one by the door. No more fishing around trying to find something (keys, screwdriver, kitchen knife, etc) to open or break down boxes! These are sharp and reliable! The safety is easy to slide, but keep me from setting it down open. And all for $5? Awesome! Yes, there are more sophisticated ones. But these are an awesome price, do the job, and are easy to use. These worked great when I first got them. After using one of them for cutting many boxes (over a 2 month period), it has become really dull and there are no extra blades to replace the old one.
