I needed a wrist brace post elbow surgery to keep myself from using my dominant hand to grasp heavy objects. I didn't want a huge bulky one as I still needed to use my hand for minor uses like using a computer mouse. But I didn't want a thin one that would not block my ability to grip comfortably. This was the perfect solution. Serious support that does not allow you to bend the wrist in either direction easily. Along with a very comfortable fit and good velcro grip. Well made and sized right. I look forward to sleeping in these because I will be able to loosen the wraps from the soft braces and the metal plate will keep wrist from bending instead of tight wrap. Quite comfortable, soft and well padded. The way the velcro tabs are will also make it less apt to be pulled off by blankets. Was easy to make one left and one right. highly disappointed. Yes, it provides some support but it is too small aound wrist. I bought the largest size and followed directions for measuring but item is uncomfortable and doesn't fit without squishing the wrist tighter than one should. Will be returning item Read more

I purchased this item to use on my left wrist for support after getting out of a cast for nearly 8 weeks due to fracture. I picked it because although it is set up for a right hand, it was listed as a reversible design. You're supposed to be able to remove the metal piece that provides the physical support/movement limitation and put it back in with the curve facing the other direction, but I found that impossible to do -- particularly with a weak wrist! The opening for the metal piece is too narrow, plus there's a rubber piece on the end of the metal piece that keeps it from sliding into the 'slot' in the brace. I ended up putting a couple of unsharpened golf pencils in the slot to provide some support. Otherwise, the design is comfortable and easy to adjust. The only annoying thing about it is that it seems to easily attract and collect my dog's hair. Read more
