Braun IPL at Home Laser Hair Removal for Women and Men Silk Expert Mini PL1014 with Venus Razor

I’ve been using the Braun IPL (the small pink one that comes in the pink bag) for about 4 months now and I honestly really like it. First of all, it’s small and really handy. That was a big selling point for me. It’s not bulky at all and fits easily in my hand. I can throw it in a drawer or pack it in a suitcase without it taking up space. The little pink bag it comes with is cute and makes it feel organized instead of like some huge machine sitting around. I also just like the color. I mainly use it on my underarms and legs. After about 4 months of using it once a week (sometimes every other week if I forget), I would say my underarm and leg hair is about 50% gone. The hair that is still there is much thinner and grows back slower. I definitely doubted this would work at first. I almost didn’t buy it because I wasn’t sure if at-home IPL was actually legit. But I read a lot of reviews from other people online who shared their specific results, and that encouraged me to try it. It is SO much cheaper than going to a laser place. Laser sessions add up fast, and you have to keep scheduling appointments and relying on someone else. I find that annoying and inconvenient. I like being able to just do it myself at home when I have time. Also, when hair grows back, I’d rather be the one controlling it. I get nervous about getting burned at a laser clinic, and doing it myself just makes me feel more in control. As for pain, it really doesn’t hurt. Most of the time it barely feels like anything. If you hold it over the same area for too long (which you’re not supposed to do), then it might sting a little. But if you use it correctly and move it along like you’re supposed to, it’s totally fine. I shave a little before I use it. I’ve noticed if I shave super close right before using it, it can feel a tiny bit more sensitive. So now I try to shave but not aggressively right before. One thing I will say is that my skin can get a little dry if I use it too often. That’s why I stick to about once a week and nothing too intense. Moisturizing after helps. I personally wouldn’t recommend using it on hormonal areas like the upper lip. I’ve read that sometimes that can actually cause the hair to grow back fuller in those areas, which is not what you want. Overall, I highly recommend this. It’s small, portable, easy to use, and way more convenient than going somewhere for laser. The results have been real for me, and I’m really glad I stuck with it. I've had this well over a year now, it's held up so well and has done wonders for me. I never used to have thick leg hairs but as I've gotten older my hormones had made them a lot thicker and more noticeable. Using this once a week for at least 6 weeks the first go round with now once a month, my leg hairs are back to normal. Very slow growth, thinner, and can hardly tell I have any hair. Has also been helpful with the unruly underarm and bikini area hairs. Been hesitant on trying on any facial hairs as the light is pretty strong. I've tried so many other at-home options and this has made the most difference though. Usage is super easier but sometimes finding the right angle to place it can be tricky around smaller areas. My only complaint is that I don't know how to turn it off without just unplugging it. I swear I read the whole manual ahead of time and still can't figure it out but oh well it still functions well. AMAB, tanned skin dark hair. This really works at reducing and slowing hair growth, and I've even used it on the facial area though not officially recommended by braun. the key thing is that you need to have darker hair than your skin and it doesnt work on very dark or very tanned skin, and that you need to be consistent with treatment. I have been using it once to twice a week for 4 months now and have consistently clear skin and greatly slowed hair regrowth. using it is easy but there is a learning curve to get it to trigger properly. overall I'm very happy with how I look and feel as well as not having to shave every day as before. Price: a little pricey considering that the use is limited Durability: 4/5 Ease of use: 4/5 Does it work: Yes. Used it once a week for 3 months. The hair is noticeably less and thinner. Worked well on my armpit, arm and leg hairs. The machine is easy to use. Plug it, push the button, place it on the skin and it automatically adjusts the strength of the IPL depending on skin tone and hair color. The downside is, in darker areas or areas that are not flat like the chin or around the lip area, it just doesn’t work. It’s frustrating cause you need to find the right angle/placement for the laser to work if you want to cover a lot of areas. Had used a different machine before that lets you adjust the intensity manually and that worked better and covered more areas.
