Breville Smart Oven Air Fryer Compact Brushed Stainless Steel

This is the PERFECT air fryer for apartments, condos, or smaller households (just two of us). Small footprint on the counter, not too tall, and looks classy, too. Makes AMAZING fish fillets (salmon, halibut), cooking evenly, and is good at getting it a little crispy. Very good for roasting vegetables, but believe it when it says to turn them halfway. Frozen snacks come out great every time. Competent at toast (it takes a little experimenting). Super-easy to program (temp/time/start), the warm-up countdown helps get the temp right before cooking, and there’s a guide inside the door showing the correct rack position for each use. And the unique “a bit more” feature is brilliant! Just what you need for that extra browning or for a thicker piece of food. Clean up is a breeze if you use parchment (for fish) and/or leave the pan in the bottom, and the lower tray slides out for easy cleanup. Uses way less electricity than the oven, and doesn’t heat up the whole house in the summer. Don’t know about long-term reliability yet, but so far it’s very much worth the extra money compared to the competitors we’ve used. Read more

This is a great little oven! I live in a condo and have limited counter space. I wanted the larger Breville oven but just couldn't fit it in. This one performs beautifully in a relatively small space. It's big enough for an 8x8 or 9x9 casserole. The "wings" automatic setting creates beautifully browned wings. Time/temperature air frying,, such as panko breaded items, also brown nicely. I'm very pleased with this little oven. Read more

I bought the compact smart oven because my toaster broke and for a little bit more money I could get this. I wanted a long slot toaster. After 10 years, my KitchenAid bit the dust. The oven is fine. The toasting is not might just have to go out and get myself a cheap little toaster. Read more

Generally Breville products are really good and the SmartOven Air Fryer is on par. I’ve had several different air fryer combination toaster ovens, etc. and this one may be what I’ve been looking for all along . I purchased this on Cyber Monday so got a good deal. It actually came with a user manual but it’s very easy to use and one feature that I especially like - there is a strip on the inside of the oven door showing the different rack/basket positions for each function such as toasting and baking. The pullout crumb catching shelf makes cleaning a lot easier, you don’t have to open the oven door, it just slides out from underneath the door. I chose the compact size since there are only 2 of us and it’s sufficient for roasting vegetables, toasting several slices of bread, re- heating leftovers. And because it’s wide rather than tall it easily fits on the counter underneath the upper cabinets. This thing is small but mighty. Do glad I ditched my huge eye sore of an air fryer for this. Not only is it aesthetically pleasing but it heats up super quickly and is practically silent. It heats up everything very evenly and quickly and you can add time in increments of seconds rather than minutes to get the perfect cooking level on whatever your making. Also super nice that there is a pull out tray to help keep the bottom of the air fryer clean. The size is perfect and I highly recommend this model over at the large version. terrible product; will never use it again; toaster is poor; air fryer smokes stinks up the house; when you take food out grease; goes all over glass door and all over the catch pan; what's then purpose; I can use the oven. It is not quicker if you want to create what YOU COOK IN a quality oven ,the cook time the same with a lot less clean up.
