First off, I'm a huge fan of Brickell products so I was excited to try the Accolade Cologne - If you want a natural, non-toxic cologne that actually lasts, this is it! The blend of Italian Bergamot and Cedarwood is perfectly balanced - it has a warm, woodsy scent with a crisp citrus finish that lasts all day. First off, want to start off by saying I own over 200 bottles of fragrance, everything from Creed to Gio and everything in between! On a whim, since I purchase a lot of Brickells skin care products, I pulled the trigger on Brickell’s relatively new fragrance called Accolade…It was 60 bucks and all natural so I thought to myself, why not ? When I receive the fragrance, I immediately sprayed it on the skin because as most people know fragrance don’t smell very well on paper and you can’t determine the notes or the composition of the fragrance unless you put it on your skin directly, so I did…. First initial blast was exhilerating with a fresh splash of bergamot and lemon, followed by pleasant woods from the cedar and sandalwood notes….it was fresh and aromatic with hints of citrus and woods throughout the journey from the top notes to the base…the dry down was also excellent consisting of mostly woods with hints of citrus….its an excellent choice for a casual scent, perhaps over the weekend with a white T-shirt and khaki shorts…fresh, invigorating and warm…can be worn through the year and super mass appealing! My wife asked me a couple of times what I was wearing when I wear accolade, which Isn’t very common with her as I wear many fragrances…. You will easily get 4 hours with this one without the need to re-apply as it quickly becomes more of a skin scent and more intimate after 4 hours which isn’t necessarily a bad thing….so, in closing, is Accolade a Creed type composition ? No, but then again you’re not dropping 3-500 bucks on a fragrance plus, I might add, don’t last nearly as long as Accolade does… Because it’s reasonably price, I would suggest spraying more sprays to help it last longer than four hours throughout the day, which is what I did and it worked beautifully…. This is a great, casual nonoffensive fragrance that will garner compliments, best used in the summertime, in my opinion, although all year round it will work as well, so the heat will bring out those fresh woods and citrus notes that make this truly unique and respectable for first attempts at a fragrance….give it a try, you won’t be disappointed ! Very satisfied- As a cologne collector I needed something inexpensive for an “everyday” work cologne. The price is perfect! Reminds me of the original ANGEL MEN cologne with more of a sandalwood infusion. It’s manly without being too aggressive- classy/rugged vibe Wife likes it- My go to scents are Hermes’, Sauvage & Fierce by A&F. This new scent from Brickell is my new essential final step to my morning routine. A couple sprays and I am feeling energized and refreshed at the same time - ready to rock my day. The scent is light fresh and clean - not overpowering at all and lasts all day. The bottle size is large enough to last awhile - even if I am guilty of using it before bed as well! An absolute must! I love this scent, love the product itself but the packaging is god awful. I’ve had the little roller sticks, those leaked everywhere and I lost half the liquid. Then I ordered this bottle with the sprayer, and it is also leaking at the nozzle. Like guys, come on this is not that hard to figure out. I have long been a fan of Brickell products, as they are mostly natural and keep my skin looking good. I decided to try out Accolade to complement the other products. I like that it is packaged in a sleek, black container. I tried applying it to different parts of my body the first time. A little on the wrists, and I could just sniff them a bit to enjoy the scent over the course of the day. While the container recommends walking into the mist sprayed into the air, I feel the fragrance is a bit light, so better to spray on either side of my neck and chest area from a distance of about arm's length. This gets better coverage but doesn't overdo it. I have found the scent lasts 3-4 hours, so it's great to apply before going out for an evening event. If using during the day, you might need to reapply. And now about the scent. It reminds me of different things. First, as it is light, it reminds me a bit of the ocean. Mixed in with that is a light citrusy, floral scent. It is then grounded in a slight earthiness to make it more masculine. I sense a light mineral aspect to it as well. As others have mentioned, because of the aroma profile, it is suitable to wear to a business setting if done lightly, as well as a social setting. It differs from other scents in that it is not what I would call a seductive scent, not containing heavy notes. That is why it can be more appropriate for settings with groups.
