I ordered these kind of by mistake while I was shopping for other pants. They passed the return date so I tried them on and I love them. They have the look of an understated plaid wool, but they are in fact a lightweight knit fabric that is comfortable in almost any weather. I just tried them with a brown wool sweater but can see wearing them with a white blouse or a denim jacket or so many things, even colors. So glad about this "mistake" - it's a great pair of pants.
