After decades of dragging a two wheeler my wrist and shoulder were complaining l loudly and begging me to change to a spinner. As a flight attendant, I don’t have time (or patience) for fussy luggage—and this 22-inch spinner from Briggs & Riley gets it. First of all, it rolls like butter. We’re talking four double spinner wheels that glide through airports smoother than a first-class upgrade. Tight aisle? No problem. This baby pivots better than me dodging a gate-change announcement. The exterior is tough enough to survive being gate-checked, dragged down jet bridges, or stuffed in the overhead bin Tetris-style. Plus, the compression-expansion system is a game-changer—it expands to fit all your layover secrets (snacks, extra shoes, and that one hotel towel you definitely “borrowed”), then compresses down to a sleek carry-on that always fits the bin. Interior? Organized like a galley cart. Mesh pockets, compression panels, and just enough compartments to make you feel like you’ve got your life together, even if you’re running on four hours of sleep and coffee fumes. Use a Beis weekender on top. No tipping, no struggles and I could easily pack for an extended trip which I really wish I’d done that time the Icelandic volcano exploded and left me stranded in Paris for 8 days. More fun than it sounds. Washing your undercrackers in the hotel coffee pot gets real old real quick. Bottom line: It’s durable, stylish, professional, and practically flies itself. If you’re living that crew life—or just want to travel like you are—this bag is your new favorite coworker. Read more

I was hesitant because of the price. Glad I purchased.I took it for a long weekend trip via airplane. I had room leftover after packing. Plenty of pockets with easy access. Spinners are smooth. Zippers are heavy duty. Bag material light yet durable. This bag was so much better to take on a short trip because of its smaller size and lighter weight. I so like this product line that I purchased a 22 inch spinner from this company for my longer trips. Read more

I ADORE Briggs & Riley and saw this for a slightly better price than at the store. It's so smart looking, holds so much and is perfect as a carry on (empty) to pack all your purchases from trips, and a few snacks :) It fits on the handle of my larger one. I love the Navy color - it's classic. Pricey? Yes - but well worth it. HIGHLY recommend Read more

Best luggage I’ve had. Love the compression feature, roomy size, lots of pockets, wheels glide easily, sturdy fabric and construction. Only con: It’s a little heavier than other luggage its size. My friends are switching from Tumi. I’m sounding like an ad, I’m just a traveler finally happy with my luggage. Read more

Spending $700+ on a single bag was daunting at first. I am very glad I did it. This bag is clearly higher quality than cheaper ones. The overall sturdiness is great - without being as heavy as stuff like rimowa. My two favourite feature are: 1. The interior straps that keep your clothes from moving around once you’ve packed everything. They’re very elastic and feel like they will not break. 2. The compression packing mechanism that allows you to pack it full and then smush it down to make it smaller. I also actually think the medium is a great size because if you get the large and pack it full you will almost certainly be over most airlines weight limit. Read more

I bought this suitcase to pair with the B&R duffle bag. The combo is perfect! I've mainly used the duffle, and my wife the suitcase. The size of the suitcase is to be expected since we're talking about standardized sizes. For most domestic travel this suitcase will fit in the overhead bin or luggage rack. However, this suitcase has a unique feature that allows you to fold up a suit or two, or a couple dresses. This makes traveling with nicer attire much easier, giving you the storage of a larger suitcase in a smaller form. The build quality is to be expected with the price tag. Immaculate, great attention to detail with leather accents and embossing, high quality zippers, etc. No loose threads or any sign of lower quality. The outside is rugged! Despite going through several trains and stations, across old parking lots and downtown sidewalks, I have zero issues with scratches. I've had one issue with this suitcase so far, hence the 4 stars. For $700 I expect a suitcase to be perfect. I read a few review about people having issues with the wheels steering straight. I experienced this problem after arriving at our hotel. After I slid the B&R duffle over the handle, I noticed that while my left hand was driving, the wheels remained perfectly straight and there was no issue. When I switched to my right hand, I could feel the wheels pulling away from me, which required me to torq the handle to get the bag to stay straight. Oddly enough, I experienced this immediately upon first use, but the problem seemed to greatly diminish after running the wheels over some asphalt through normal use. However, it's worth mentioning as I don't believe you should have a single problem when paying this much money for a single piece of luggage. Despite the amazing guarantee, who wants to have to return something so soon after purchase and pay for the extra shipping? Overall this bag does what it set out to do. I'm going to CLOSELY monitor the wheel situation, and will update my review if things change (for better or for worse). Read more

Good quality, replaced my $2500 Tumi with this bag because it kept breaking, the Tumi only had a five year warranty, this is less than half the price and has a lifetime warranty. Traveled several times and no wear noticed. Read more
