They do not generate a lot of heat, but I do suggest that if you need to change out the bulb, let them cool for a few minutes because they are hot to the touch. My mistake might by not having read the description correctly because I thought the glass was amber in color. They are actually clear glass and doesn’t have the effect as in the picture on line. With that said, they are nice and different looking than any bulbs I have. I like a room to be somewhat dim rather than really bright. These are very bright if thats what you’re looking for. I’m keeping them because they are nice looking and they are in a spare bathroom I rarely use. The guests will like the lights as they are I’m sure. They are worth the money.
