YES - there are drain holes in the bottom in an effective pattern! Since there are no top views in the product info, I bought it on faith that there were holes in the bottom too as well as the sides. It also fits perfectly (tight) in a standard 5 gallon bucket, if you use a bucket to carry your towels and other stuff around.
