Bruno Marc Mens Faux Patent Leather Tuxedo Derby Dress Shoes Classic Lace-up Formal Oxford

I bought these for my upcoming wedding as an alternative to renting a pair from a tux shop. Very happy with the decision so far. I can't vouch for durability yet because I've only worn them for a few minutes while trying on my tux, but they get high marks across the board from me based on my experience so far. They look amazing. I doubt anyone would consider you underdressed for wearing these regardless of the occasion. The price is lower than higher-end ones, I expect, largely because the soles are rubber (smooth danceable rubber on the sole, though) rather than leather like you might find in higher-priced versions. There is a modest but functional amount of padding in the achilles tendon area, which is a major upgrade from most other shoes of this type I've ever had or considered. It's not going to dig into your heel at all unless you get a pair that's drastically too small for you, perhaps. Literally the only thing I don't like about them is that they are made in China, which was disappointing since I boycott that country's products as much as possible for human rights and patriotic reasons. Still, these shoes are good enough and at such a good value of a price point that I'm making a rare exception to said boycott. By the way, in case you are thinking "how discerning can this guy be if he's buying $45 shoes for his wedding in the first place?" I should probably point out that my tux is a high-end custom job costing $3,000, and these look perfectly at home as part of the ensemble, and in fact even add to it. My tailor even went out of his way to say he's really glad I decided to go with an upgraded look on shoes to go with the outfit. I told him they were actually really affordable. He said he knows because of the rubber bottoms, but that apart from that they're exactly what he would recommend regardless of price. The one aspect that you might like or not like, but which I at least wasn't expecting, is that the heel itself is thicker than you'd expect from the average shoe or from just looking at the pictures on here. It almost feels like wearing cowboy boots (not quite that high, though), though it isn't really that noticeable to the eye. I kinda like the feeling, and assume it might add some potential life to the shoe since it has more rubber to wear off before you'd need to throw them out or re-heel them. Got these shoes for prom and not gonna lie I was sketchy if they would be good but wow I’m amazed I don’t normally and I don’t think I’ve ever made a review on anything but these shoes are so worth it and for the price they look amazing pictures don’t do them justice there shoe accurate and the durability and comfort of the shoe was amazing danced all night with my girlfriend and they still look good as new no creases yet I’m so surprised definitely worth it but don’t take my word for it try them yourself and you’ll see Read more

I had a formal event to attend and wasn't going to buy full price tuxedo shoes for a once a year (or decade) use, so purchased these. Quality is about as perfect as you can get, no complaints at all. They fit great, look great, and for all intents and purposes could be sold for 3x-4x the price at a local retailer and I would still think I got my moneys worth. Highly recommend. Read more

I broke these in the best I could before using them throughout Disney World for my Halloween outfit. By the end of the night...I was for sure READY to be out of these shoes. But having said that, wearing them for a LONG day...they held up really well! I didn't slip, they looked good, felt strong. Any dress shoes for a long time would hurt, so really glad I bought these. I desperately needed to find white dress shoes for my husband for our wedding. Yet again Amazon saves the day. I hate buying shoes and clothing online because you never know if it’s going to fit. So I selected my husband’s size, pushed buy now and held my breath until they came and oh boy let me tell you! Those are some of the sexist shoes I’ve ever seen him wear. They are stunningly white and beautifully shiny. They fit Him perfectly and he said they were the most comfortable shoes he has ever put on his feet. The width was perfect foe his feet, he wasn’t sliding around at all nor were his feet feeling squeezed. The toe box left enough room for his toes to move freely without rubbing uncomfortably on the top. They were the perfect last touch to his outfit for our wedding. There were some small, faint smudge marks on the heel of on of the shoes and about a 1/4 of an inch of the seam where the inside shoe fabric meets the outside is frayed a little. Read more
