As it is a formal/tuxedo shoe for an occasion, fit and style with no surprises upon opening the box were foremost. Price was critical too, as likely a 1-2 time/year wear, at best. So, with rent options I saw around $15-25 and shopping style, driving there, I figured I'd buy online. Not disappointed. This shoe's style is modern, with more of an elongated, pointed, definitely not square, toe, and the shoes look great and very true to the pictures and video -- perhaps even better in person, as you never know if your size will look as good as the pictured size. Also, very nice, expensive-looking soles with a bit of tread grip but still keeping very refined. More so, fit was good and true (11, medium width) to what I wear and expect in a dress shoe. As for durability and comfort, again, it's a tux/dress shoe. So, you're not hiking and playing tennis in 'em. If you had to use regularly for a job, you might need to investigate. And, if I didn't already own a nice tux at a steal price, I might have weighed in on purchase price vs. rent more given likely limited use. But, I think a decent price, and for out-of-the-box, no frills or returns wanted, these are perfect. Very happy. Read more
