Dr recommended this to help my sleep issues. She recc’ed a trio of supplements but this was the only one that was new to me (the other two are inositol and Magnesium glycinate). In combination with all the other things I’m doing towards better sleep during this new phase in life (peri-menopause??)—this has helped. But its true value to me is that it makes my matcha taste so good. I love coffee but bc of an increase in UTI’s and other reasons—I’ve bn needing to find an alternative to my morning beverage. Mushroom coffee, tea, tried so many—but nothing as satisfying. I’ve never liked matcha but I knew i could “train” my tongue if it was for all its health benefits (PCOS,etc). This glycine mixed w my matcha makes it my favorite part of my morning now!! We havent added sugar to any of our drinks for over a decade—so we can “save” that sugar and calories for something more worthy, lol. But this glycine gives just the slightest sweetness and makes the matcha not just palatable but delightful. And when i discovered alllll the other benefits of glycine powder like it aiding collagen production and hence helping joint health, SKINNNNN, reducing insulin resistance, helping produce glutathione (a powerful antioxidant), and so many more—I was hooked. It mixes so easily in hot beverages, helps me feel better overall. The actual product works great & tastes great too.... but, the opening in the package is too small to get a grown man's hand into! I have to push or "squish" the top of the package down to reach the actual glycine with my scoop... I hope they can increase the size of the package/opening!!! Read more

I end up taking too many pills so for things like this that are relatively harmless Amino acid supplements (or like collagen etc.) I don’t mind using it as a powder. This powder is flavorless with a hint of sweetness, which is characteristic of glycine itself. You can measure it out and stir this into a drink and all it will do is add a very light hint of sweetness. I add it to my coffee along with collagen. It’s a great product and extremely economical! I can see a difference in my body as well, but I lift weights and have inflammatory issues so do your research before making any decisions. Read more

I mixed about a teaspoon of BulkSupplements.com Glycine Powder with my nightly liquid vitamins and felt a difference the first night I used it. That surprised me, because everything I read said glycine typically takes time to build up before noticeable benefits appear. I slept better than I have in a long time and woke up refreshed the following morning. The unflavored powder blended well and didn’t disrupt my routine. Avoid this brand! This glycine (if actually even is glycine) is extremely poor quality, texture and consistency, and most of all, it is contaminated! After reading the reviews, its apparent that this is not an isolated incident, as many other people has reported the same thing! My bag contains litle black specs of contamination! Furthermore, when added to water, there is a significant amount of insoluble fiber-like debris / floaties! Additionally, this "glycine" is of a powdered confectioners sugar consistency, instead of the typical table sugar like consistency. It also has an "off" taste. This company doesn't care 1 bit AT ALL. I've attempted to contact bulksupplements.com and they do not reply at all. If you have any doubt about this company or my claims, simply look at their instagram profile, where each of their posts has comments by dozens of people who are also complaining about contamination and quality issues, and the company doesn't even care to read or reply to any of the comments. I even saa a reddit thread where useres were complaining about bulksupplements.com contamination issues, and a former employee stated that they use bulk bag filling machine that leaks oil into the product, and when the employee called it out, their managers didn't care and told him to proceed filling anyways, despite the machine contaminating the products with lubrication oil!
