We have season passes to the water park. We have red and blonde hair in the family and are pale, like it looks like we never go out in the sun kind of pale. We burn fast and hard if we think about going out in the sun without great sunscreen. That is why when we go to the water park we have tried everything. Noad, Coppertone, Neutrogena... the list goes on and on, but either they wash off after a few minutes and we burn, or they just aren't strong enough. This stuff though, lasts as long as it says it does. Sure we reapply now and then, but we don't get burned... except when we forget one leg and look like a lopsided lobster the next day. I don't trust any other sunscreen in wet or sweaty conditions. Also the way it doesn't get slimy, oily, or sticky and doesn't run in the eyes once applied is great. Goes on and dries in seconds. Great produce, we have gone through a few bottles already this summer. 18 months - 41 years of age here. Read more

My son absolutely hates putting on sunscreen, so we have tried a lot of different types and brands. Recently, my son told me he liked using aloe Vera gel and that if there was a sunscreen like that, he would use it. I went to work looking for a gel sunscreen and of course, Amazon never disappoints. I grabbed this one and tried it out on my kiddo. The sunscreen goes on easily and has good coverage (is long lasting and effective), but move fast because it dries quickly! I do feel like we use a little more than we would with lotion style sunscreen because of how quickly it dries. It also has a very strong smell. But I can get past those things for a sunscreen my son is willing to use! Read more

Works well but the texture is gross and it gets gummy and pills up. The white cream bullfrog is way way better if you can find it Read more

This is the only sunscreen I use and that actually works. I am very light skinned and have gotten second degree sunburn before. After using this product I have no longer gotten sunburned. I like it cause I don’t have to reapply it after getting into the water. Only thing is it does have a weird smell and it is oily. Best tip is to put a on 30 minutes to an hour before leaving the house so it can dry and keep you from sweating it into your eyes. Read more

I grew up using Bullfrog on the lake, beach, boat and anywhere I needed protection from the sun, while participating in water activities. When I found out bullfrog was back, I ordered two bottles! Yesterday, I tested it out before taking it to the beach by using a UV detector sticker at the pool. I followed all directions from both the stickers and the Bullfrog. Bullfrog never provided adequate protection, clearly not meeting their advertised SPF, as our stickers remained blotchy purple, even after *3* layers applied. As well, though it is advertised as Water and Sweat resistant for 80 min, it washed entirely off the second we were in the water, despite waiting 20 min for the sunscreen to fully absorb and dry. To be sure it wasn't the stickers, I applied a different sunscreen on reapplication, which proved that the sticker was working as intended. Last point - it pills. As you rub the product into your skin, it pills up into a gooey, disgusting mess that is embarrassing to have to deal in public. It looks like skin falling off, or half dried Elmer's glue. You can't layer another sunscreen on top during reapplication, either, for this reason. And none of that even touches on that one bottle was leaking on arrival, and both are MAYBE 75% full, closer to half. Really hate that I bought two bottles and can't return them. Read more

Bought the gell and the stick. Was extremely happy with both Bullfrog products. Never burned while spending a little of time on the beach! Read more

I got this product because of the great reviews. It goes on clear and dries and does protect the skin very well. But it's not for us. We can usually use any brand of SPF and have used many different brands. This one gave us skin reactions. The gel goes on thin then dries and leave a clear film. The film stays on pretty well even when submerged in water. The film didn't bother me but my kids hated it. They did not like the shiny look, the slightly tacky feeling, or that if you rubbed it the product would come off like eraser shavings. We ultimately discontinued using this product because I think our family is sensitive to something in this product. After using it twice for swimming in the backyard and swim classes, we all have little bumps all over our shoulders, chest, and back, where I primarily applied the product. The bumps are not itchy or inflamed but our skin is rough with tiny flesh-colored bumps. I am glad I did not put this on our faces! We stopped using this and hopefully with a few days of hydrocortisone, our skin will return to normal. Read more
