I ordered this 2 pack of BULLIANT Mens Ratchet Leather Belts because I lost 60 pounds last year and I needed some casual/dress belts to replace my old ones that were too long. The belts have a slight leather smell, it isn’t overpowering. They’re soft and flexible, not rigid, like a lot of ratcheting belts. My opinion is these belts are perfect for casual and dress up wear. The belt buckle has a nice bull emblem decorating the front. The ratchet mechanism in the buckle is smooth, and the release lever is smooth as well. The belt engages the ratchets tightly without slipping. It’s easy to adjust the length because the length is measured in lines on the backside of the belt. All you have to do is cut along whatever inch line you need. The belt buckle has a serrated pivot on the back. Just pry it back with a lever to release the belt, then trim the belt, then slide it back in and push the lever back down. It’s very easy. I’ve worn this belt around for the past two weeks and have not had any issues with slipping or the release lever sticking. Despite the belts being of average thickness they are surprisingly durable. There are no scrapes or abrasions from inserting the belt into the buckle. My whole life I have worn standard belts with a regular buckle. Over the past year I’ve tried several belts with the ratcheting buckle feature, and I love them. If you’ve never worn this style of belt before then I encourage you to try it at least once. I want to stress these belts are not cheaply made. They are a good value for the money and compare in price to the cheap department store brands.
