This is a pretty good chew toy for a dog. I just got a puppy who loves to chew on absolutely everything, so I wanted something that could hold a bully stick and give the puppy something safer to focus on. This holds the stick well, and it does exactly what it is supposed to do. The size is good, and I do not have any safety concerns with it at all. The material seems decent. It is very chewable, which the puppy loved, and it held up better than I expected for a while. But dogs are destructive in their own ways, and every dog is different. One dog might make this last a long time, and another might chew it down faster, so durability is kind of hard to rate. My puppy chewed it pretty heavily, but it still lasted a good amount of time before it started to show real wear. Functionally, it does everything it claims. It keeps the stick in place, gives the dog something to work on, and helps keep them busy. It is not cute, but it is a chew toy, so I am not expecting it to win any design contests. For the price, it is fair. These kinds of toys are going to wear out eventually no matter what, especially with puppies or aggressive chewers. If someone needs something that helps with chewing habits or keeping a dog occupied, this is a good option. Just know that how long it lasts really depends on the dog using it. Read more

This is an excellent toy for aggressive chewers. I have 5 Labradors and they all LOVE this thing and it has held up shockingly well! It also is very functional, holding on to the bully sticks easily and consistently. This is one of my dogs' go-to toys for chewing though b/c it has so many angles and areas to really get a good chew on. The screw-in portion is secure on the bottom when it is screwed in; the dogs are not able to "unscrew" or dislodge it. I am very pleased with this item. I highly recommend it. This toy stands up to my aggressive chewer. I put dental chew sticks and other long-lasting chew sticks into the toy. Then the top of the toy can be screwed tight to stabilize the chew stick, securing it into place, which extends the enjoyment of the stick. The top of the toy has a space for filling it up with peanut butter, or other treats your dog loves. The toy itself is made of food grade nylon and coffee wood fiber, and is very durable. The toy is also dishwasher safe, which is awesome, as it can get really icky after several uses. I highly recommend this toy for dogs who are aggressive chewers. We give our dog stick shaped treats and bully sticks to keep her occupied. Having the treat in this holder keeps her occupied for hours.. The bolt-type holder grips the treat to hold it in place while our dog tries to pull it out. There is also a recessed area on top for putting peanut butter and similar treats in. Don't wait till something happens, be proactive when it comes to dog's who aggressively chew any type of item. Damage to their throats or inner mouth can be deadly. I remember all too well having to pry a wad of chewed up bully stick material out of one of my larger dog's mouth when she had gotten it stuck in the back of her mouth, She couldn't stop coughing/gagging. Thank goodness she was the kind of dog who allowed me to help her. First off I NEVER give any chewing treats/bully sticks unless i will be around them the entire time it takes them to demolish them.. This stick holder is a brilliant product of great quality and should hold up well to even the most aggressive of chewers. Well worth the cost to prevent damage or worse to the mouth or throat.
