This is by far the best heat protectant and spray leave in conditioner I’ve ever used. It surprises me when people write that it’s just a heat protectant and disregard the fact that you can also use it as a leave-In conditioner. It does not have that slimy dimethicone feel, and it does not weigh my thin hair down. It makes my hair very shiny and stops the fly away frizzies. It is expensive but for me it’s the only spray leave in conditioner I have found that works. Read more

I love the smell! It is not greasy. It leaves your hair soft. I think it basically works by wetting your hair so that it doesn’t burn when you apply heat. The texture is the same as water. Read more

One of my favorite hair heat protectors. Not an aerosol which I like a lot since I don’t want to breathe that in. Leaves hair very smooth and no frizz. I can tell the health of my hair has improved since using it. Not greasy at all. Read more

I ordered both of these and immediately returned the Pureology but kept this B&B. I have super baby fine thinner hair so I have to be careful what I put on it. My stylist said I really needed to use a heat protectant when I use a flat iron or blow dry my hair but I have had such bad luck with leave-ins that I did a lot of looking and reading reviews and really didn't want to use anything at all. I bought the small 'trial or travel size' just in case and I wish more manufacturers would offer trial/travel sizes! Price: Both B&B and Pureology are a little pricey - not awfully so but it's a price I have to think twice about. However, a little of both goes a long way. But in price comparison, for the trial sizes, B&B is just over $8 an ounce while the Pureology is about $11 an ounce. Formula: B&B doesn't have an oily look even though it does have some oils in it. The Pureology has more oils and it showed - my hair was limp and dirty looking after using it. So this is the main reason I returned the Pureology and kept B&B. How my baby fine hair looks after use: B&B made my hair look fuller than the Pureology. With B&B my hair still had some shine to it, not as shiny as it is when I put nothing in it, but shiny. It did offer up some body. My hair didn't feel sticky. It did feel just a little 'tacky' while drying it but after it was dry and after it settled down a bit (I'm learning that my hair needs about 10 - 15 minutes to settle down after blow drying), my hair felt soft. What I also liked is I went to run errands and was caught in a bit of a drizzle so my hair became quite damp - but once it dried, my hair still looked good! That's a plus! However, Pureology made my hair limp and lifeless right off the bat- it was just too heavy for my hair. Scent: B&B is more subtle - it's a pleasant scent that doesn't linger for hours, and I don't 'taste' it. The Pureology was so strongly scented I had to wash it out of my hair - I absolutely did not like it. This is another reason I returned the Pureology and kept the B&B. Use: I spritzed just a little B&B over all of my hair, worked it in, and brushed it through my wet hair - I wanted to see if it would make my roots look dirty or oily or separated and it did not! That's a plus. I didn't need much either. With the Pureology I was afraid it would be too heavy after I saw all the oils listed so I used just a little on my mid-to-ends and it was too heavy for my hair. Though the B&B is a heat protectant and not a leave-in conditioner - and this is what I needed - the Pureology is a leave-in conditioner and protectant, so I should have known it would be too heavy for my hair. One thing I wish they had on this page is the ingredients. This needs to be added so customers know what they are receiving. I would re-order the B&B. Read more

I love this thermal protection spray. It is a little pricey but not only does it smell subtle and amazing, like mix between vanilla and coconut, but it is one of the few products that actually fights the humidity and keeps my heat styled hair how it should. I have naturally curly hair (don't come for me for using heat, I like they way it looks styled) and my curl tends to fight its way back. This spray helps! I have fine hair and this does not weigh it down. Read more

Context: I have dry and naturally curly hair. If I washed it every day I’d look like the mad professor in some horror movie. Since that is the case, it gets tamed with a lot of sprayed water and heat styling. I had seen the B&B products at the salon where I get haircuts and had been curious as to whether they were good enough to earn their jaw dropping price. Not curious enough to buy it, of course. One time while I was cruising Amazon, I noticed that someone was selling little travel bottles of the heat styling product. I was curious enough to pay that. The verdict: yeah, they are that good. My hair smells great, is softer, and well behaved. Honestly, I’m a little sorry I bought this, because I really can’t afford to start buying the full-size product. But as my headline says, this is one time I can see that a product is worth it’s crazy cost. Read more
