This product is much better than Bumble and Bumble Surf Spray. My sister has wavy hair and this spray gives her locks that beachy, wavy look by just scrunching her hair after spraying the product. I, on the other hand, have very straight hair. I use this too to give my hair the beach look. I twist clumps of my hair and use a hot iron to give the curl. The spray helps hold in the waves and works great. Yes there is oil in this as stated in the name, but it doesn't give my hair any greasy feel. The scent is light and very pleasant. Although this is a very small bottle, it is worth the price. Very few products are able to put a wave in my straight hair. Get it on Amazon while you can. Curl/waves are nice but feels dry and crunchy. No soft feeling to the hair. Literally like you air dried it after swimming in the ocean. Surf infusion- so yeah. Smells like it too- fresh ocean salt water wash. I like the waves but usually have to mix it with a curling conditioner to counteract the dryness. Be cautious but don't get expectations of soft, flowing, bouncy, run-your-fingers-through hair. I feel like I can only use this at most 2x a week. Update: 1/24/24 I'd hoped the beach/ocean smell was just a fluke thing the 1st few times using it however, it's not. Smell is bad. Like ocean; not fresh fun in the sun beachy. No, ocean. fishy ocean. Salt water scooped right out of the sea ocean smell. I have to spritz w/ body spray after using this. Also, my hair looks frizzy. I have fine, frizzy hair that has some natural curl/waves to it. The Surf Infusion helps keep the fizz to a minimum and helps amplify the curl. I've tried lots of various products over the last 30 years and by far this is one of my favorites. I have also tried the Surf Foam Spray and did not like it - it seemed to give my hair a super dry crunchy texture, rather than the soft texture the Surf Infusion gives. I've also tried the Bb. Don't Blow It creme and its okay but not as good as the Surf Infusion (at least in my opinion where my hair is concerned). Read more
