I tried these bumpkin bibs after being disappointed in the plastic feeding bibs from Luvable friends. The plastic bibs, while the plastic part can get rinsed off easily, they are sewn together with a cotton fabric at the edges. The fabric gets gunked with food that doesn’t come off easily and they can’t go in the washer and dryer. But these bumpkin bibs are great and made of a totally different material then plastic bibs. These bumpkin starter bibs are made of a waterproof FABRIC, not plastic. The material is soft on baby’s skin and does puff out like those plastic bibs either. It’s like the material salons use when you get your hair cut. What’s even better is the piping on the edges is the same material so no more caked on food around the collar ! These wipe clean with a wet cloth and can also be washed. The instructions say to hang dry but I think these would hold up fine in the dryer. The ability to wash these in the washer makes all the difference for me. I wish I tried these sooner. As far as sizing… be aware these are the “Starter” bibs and are meant for small babies when they are just learning to try foods at 3-9 months. Bumpkins also makes “Super Bibs” which are meant for baby into toddler. The size of the Starter Bibs is smaller than other bibs marketed toward feeding toddlers. My baby is 7 months and these fit bit don’t hang as low as the bibs that are meant to accommodate older kids. These fall just above the waist and catch spills well. The size is perfectly fine with me because the neck hole is small enough for him right now. The larger bibs have bigger neck holes and don’t sit under his chin enough. The result is food spills under the chin onto his clothes. I appreciate the fact that the Velcro closure is also off to the one side so putting on and off is a lot easier. These are great bibs for babies who are just starting out eating to control the mess. I plan on getting the Super Bibs version once he gets bigger. Read more

Perfect size for smaller babies. My 7 month old is average size, has been using them for a couple of months and still has plenty of time left to use them, fit wise. I was using the all silicone bib for her that my oldest used, but they felt too heavy for her when we started doing high chair and baby food. I wanted a replacement that was light weight, stayed on, easy to clean and afforadable since I will likely switch to silicone once she’s bigger. The Velcro section on these is large enough that baby can’t rip the bib off. The patterns are so cute and the bibs are so easy to hand wash and they dry quickly. I usually just put a drop of soap on it, scrub together quickly, squeeze water out and hang to dry. I highly recommend these bibs for anyone starting to feed babies solids or anyone with petite littles. Great for travel since they’re so light weight! Read more

Some years ago I purchased this same brand of bibs but I had ordered the super sized bibs for my son, they had been my favorite! I still keep them. So now that my daughter was born and I was getting her started on solids by 4 months old I decided to repurchase this brand again but the smaller sized bibs and these fit her great! She’s around 11lbs as of now (5 months old). I wish these bibs were more waterproof underneath but I still very much like them especially because they are super easy to wash in the sink after feedings and fast to dry. I recommend these! Once she’s a little older I will also be buying her the supersized bibs like I did with her brother. BTW, my son is 3 years old now and the supersized bibs still fit him and are long enough for him not to dirty his pants so whether u go with this size or the larger ones they are both very good. I had bought this brand for my son back when he was around half a year old and he’s 3 now still using them so they are very durable. I hated the silicone bibs from other brands. Aside from these bibs being durable and easy to clean I also like the designs & love that there’s various sizes to grow with your child. Read more

We love these bibs. When we started purchasing this brand almost 5yrs ago for our oldest we did not realize they had a starter size. I was very excited to find the starter size with dinosaurs (his favorite!) for our son. He is 5mo old and they are the perfect size. These bibs are durable, we are able to reuse the bibs we purchased for our oldest on the baby. Cleaning them is very convenient. In most cases we can wipe any mess with a baby wipe or napkin and put in the washing machine. For those more messy dinners (like pasta nights) we would soak in dawn a bit prior to washing. They are water proof and collect the water easily into the pouch of the bib. Read more
