After weeks and weeks of shipping issues, I finally received the product and assembled it. It looks beautiful as long as you don't use it. The finish is paper thin, and is actual paper, so it does not last at all, not even with light use. I was working on a project and lightly stuck a piece of tape on the edge of the desk while doing something, when I pulled the tape off, it store the paper finish off with it. The desk comes with many pieces but the instructions are very clear and it was pretty easy to put together. Some of the pieces are a bit heavy so I would recommend you have 2 people. The desk is fine. However, like others have noted, the pint chips really easy. In fact, I put a strip of tape along the edge I use most to protect it, but when I took the tape off it ripped the laminate. I just bought this, so it’s unfortunate to know that it’s only going to get worse from here.
