Excellent upgrade from my Bushnell V5 Slope Shift.

This was an upgrade from my Bushnell V5 Slope Shift rangefinder and what an upgrade it is. First off, I always carried a separate GPS device to get front, center and back yardages when I play but with the Tour Hybrid its built in. It recognized the course in less than a minute or so and locked in on the pins quickly. Slightly smaller than the older V5 and feels good in my hand. Optics IMO are better than the older V5. I haven't tested the battery life as I just used it for a few rounds. I don't play in a lot of competition so I like using the slope features on my rangefinder and this still provides information I need to place my shot in the correct location on the green to try and make a birdie. I play at a semi-private course and pace of play is important so I prefer a rangefinder over using my cell phone with built in golf apps. One thing I will try and use both the V5 and Tour hybrid to test out accuracy and will update if any differences are found. I can easily recommend this Bushnell rangefinder and haven't really used any other brands, except Bushnell as this is my 3rd. I still have my Bushnell Tour V2 rangefinder and it still works perfectly after 10 years of use. Granted, I take care of my electronics and don't use it in wet weather and store in the case between shots. Read more

Accurate, easy to use, and very dependable

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I chose this because Bushnell is the best rangefinder on the market. It is not always the least expensive but it certainly does everything that you expect it to. I have used Bushnell now for over 20 years and I would recommend it to everyone. This rangefinder is easy to use, it’s very accurate, and extremely dependable. It’s very sturdy and can take the bumps and bruises that a golf cart puts out. I recommend that everyone purchased this rangefinder. You will not be disappointed. Read more

Bushnell Tour Hybrid Rangefinder – Highly Recommended

Bushnell Tour Hybrid Rangefinder – Highly Recommended Solid rangefinder at this price point. The key feature—and the main reason I bought it—is that it displays front, middle, and back yardages right inside the viewfinder. That’s a game-changer. It also includes slope readings, which you can easily turn on or off with a slide switch on the side. The PINSEEKER with Visual JOLT gives you a vibration and flashes a red ring when you lock onto the flag—clear and instant feedback. Three minor gripes: 1. You need the Bushnell Golf app to initially load course data for the F/M/B readouts. 2. The display isn’t illuminated like my Canon, so it can be hard to read in low light. 3. No lanyard attachment option. (It does come with a solid case, and the built-in magnet attaches easily to a cart.) The app itself is a plus—it’s easy to use and gives you hole layouts, score tracking, and other extras. Specs worth noting: Weather-resistant (IPX6 rated) Weighs less than 9 oz LCD with red illuminated JOLT indicator ring Battery lasts about 30 rounds Rugged and lightweight If you’re looking for a hybrid of GPS and laser with practical features and solid performance, this one’s a no-brainer. Highly recommended !!! ⛳️ Read more

Yes, it's worth the price.

Okay - here we go. I had the Blue Tees series 3 and was using the Blue tees app (free for a year). Then the series 3 started to glitch, it would take 4, 5, even 6 presses to get the right yardage. So I ordered the Blue Tees 4 ultra. Much better pin response, only 2 presses but even on the lowest setting it was too bright. And now they wanted $50/yr for the app which was just okay. Then I ordered this, the Bushnell Tour Hybrid. Holy crap, this is why it's the price it is. ONE PRESS, BAM! AND the app is free and much better AND the range finder gives you front back and center of green as well as the laser distance to the pin. It hurt the wallet a bit, but there's no going back now, this is 5 stars all the way! Oh, and the magnification is super clear...not sure if they use a different lens but it's awesome. I actually like the idea of it having a battery, they give you two of them and I'd rather simply change a battery on the course vs plug the damn thing in to a USB outlet somewhere... Read more

Have to re-pair with iPhone before each round after 9 weeks of flawless use. :(

The unit is AWESOME when it works!! I've had it for 11 weeks and the first 9 weeks, it was pretty flawless BUT for the past 2 weeks, each time I get ready to play a round, I have to re-pair the BT between my iPhone and the range finder. I called tech support and they are making me ship it to them for evaluation and it looks like I will be WITHOUT a range finder for 4-6 weeks (and I play 4 days a week). I paid almost $500 for this device 11 weeks ago and I'd expect better support for a unit this pricey, like an advance replacement!!! Read more

Another Fantastic Bushnell Rangefinder

I had the prior generation where the GPS was on the side of the unit and when I originally bought this I didn't think I'd like the new design. While I still prefer the GPS on the side (easier to get a quick general reading of how far you are) I don't hate the new design. The biggest benefit (and what sets this apart from just about every other rangefinder) is having the yardages visible within the viewfinder. Being able to laser the pin while simultaneously seeing front-middle-back distances is awesome. Frankly I'm surprised there aren't more hybrid units like this on the market. I also like the design update where both the GPS and laser run off the CR123A lithium battery. No more having to remember to charge the device after every round. I've had this unit for 7 months and am on my third battery. That comes to about 35 rounds per battery (I play a lot!). Overall I'm super happy with this unit and would recommend it to anyone considering it. Read more
