Works good, Maybe a little overpriced and thought the flame would be larger, but a good lighter to have when camping. Read more
This torch butane lighter reminds me a lot of the torch flashlights I keep around my house. The build quality is very nice and very solid. There's a hefty weight to the lighter. From the use I've had from it so far it does seem like a real durable lighter. It's simple to operate with the flame level being easily adjustable and functional. There's also a safety switch that locks out accidental or unintended usage from unauthorized handlers which is great as I can see a situation where a youngster may discover this and think it's some kind of toy, like a lightsaber from Star Wars. Definitely keep the safety on this thing when not in use especially with kids in the house. The lighter does not come prefilled with butane or even a supply of it to get started but I assume that has to do with shipping restrictions. However I just went down to my local pharmacy and picked up a small bottle to fill it. It was relatively easy to do. If you filled other lighters in the past with butane (including reusable "wand" style lighters) the process here is very similar. As far as use, this isn't your ordinary everyday use lighter. I really can't see a situation where this would be used in most normal circumstances versus say a traditional cigarette lighter. You don't really need a torch lighter like this to light a candle, cigarette or things of that nature. I don't camp or do anything outdoorsy but it does seem like it would be a great tool for that purpose especially since the flame appears very wind resistant from the time I've had with it and my limited outdoor use. It does not blow out easily. Unfortunately there's no way to monitor butane levels with this lighter which is a real disappointment seeing how this company, GIRIAITUS, makes a smaller version of this lighter which does include a fuel level window for monitoring how much butane is left in the lighter. I hope future versions of this full size torch will include the same fuel window to make it easier to know when it's time to refill. This is more like a limited time use item for me than something I will use regularly. It throws out a good flame and the color changes associated with the flame is pretty neat. At the same time I'll struggle to use it in everyday practice. It'll be fun to whip out at parties as some kind of party trick (with careful use of course) because of it's lightsaber like properties and the ability of the flame to change colors. The lack of a fuel window does give it a slight knock on it's scoring. Speaking of scoring I score this a 4.60 out of 5.00 for a 5 star rating. Concluding this review I will say this is definitely not a toy or some novelty trinket and I hope the individuals who are using this lighter isn't treating it as such. Things can turn bad very quickly if caution isn't practiced when using this lighter. This is something that should be kept out of the reach of children and not be allowed to handle. Read more
I have a few butane lighters of different shapes and sizes, but torch this is by far my favorite one. It looks just like the Tower of Orthanc with its solid black metal top and the four 'spires' that rise above the end. When the gas is turned up to 100%, though, it's more like a short lightsaber (maybe a lightdagger?), with a blue center flame and an orange-turning-to-red outer flame. At max gas, the flame reaches 5 inches long and is mesmerizing. It sounds impressive too, with the whooshing sound of an arc welder, only quieter. It's pretty solidly made, too... the handle is plastic, but the top section is a single piece of heavy, smooth metal with rows of ventilation slots that allow the brass colored nozzle to show through, and it has a locking switch to prevent it from coming on accidentally. Most of the butane lighters I have are short flamed, so they're not great for lighting a gas stove that won't ignite on its own, and they often only have a short burst of flame which makes them useless for cooking tasks. But with this torch, I'll be able to make sure the marshmallows on the sweet potato casserole are properly toasted this Thanksgiving -- there'll be none of those pale, soggy marshmallows like last year! This is the first butane lighter I've ever had, and it's pretty great. I grabbed a bottle of butane for a few bucks at Home Depot that should last a looooong time. Filing it up is easy enough, although some did drip on my hand. There's a safety switch that prevents accidental ignition, and the flame height is adjustable. The flame comes out as a narrow beam and there's a dial to adjust it's length. At the max setting it's about six inches or so long. This won't be something that you'll just carry around in your pocket day to day, like traditional small bic lighter (t's far too large for that), but it has a lot of specialty uses where you need something wind proof and/or very high heat. For example I was throwing away a credit card and it's one of those heavy metallic ones that you can't just cut up with a pair of scissors. I ran this flame over the credit card numbers for a few seconds and they were all burned away. About the only con is that there is no way to tell the fuel level. It'd be nice is there was a little window that could be used to get an idea of how full or empty it is. Read more
I guess it is due to restrictions, but I wish it were clear that this torch does not come with the butane needed for it to work. It is something I didn't really think I would have to go find. However, I love how I can refill it with the bottle I got. I know that even if I run out, I will be able to still reuse the torch. I like that it has a safety feature and the ability to adjust the flame. It actually looks very pretty, which may draw kids to try to play with it. So I would keep it at a very good distance from anyone who is not an adult around this. I will probably keep this in my car for emergencies, but I know I can use it to light up a coal for grilling or to try to melt cheese on top of a dish. The quality is great, and it has many uses for me! Easy to move around, too, because of the size. Read more

The media could not be loaded. Wow! This thing is incredible! Was super impressed by how well this works to bring the heat! - Has been a torch that not only works amazingly well, but also looks awesome! - Durable and comfortable to use! - The flame size is adjustable with one hand and the color changing plate at the tip gives you three different colors during use! - Great for camping and for fire pits at home! - 10/10 would get this again!
