It's turkey! Better for you than a lot of other meats. With this product, you have some options. You can slice it and it will look like a pork chop. And yes, you can use whatever seasonings you would normally use on pork and it will actually come out of the oven tasting like a pork chop. You can cook it as one big hunk, season it with sage, and you'll have that nice Thanksgiving flavor any time of year without the fuss of cooking a whole turkey. (And admit it. The last time you cooked a whole turkey, it came out dry and inedible, even though your family swore it was the best they'd ever had. You know how bad it was...) This is so much easier to cook than a whole turkey. The last time I cooked one of these, I tossed it in a slow-cooker. I just dropped it in there unceremoniously, laid a few strips of bacon on top of it, and cooked it on the low setting for the rest of the day. Turned out great. Anyway, the point here is that this is value for the money. It's not expensive and it's a fairly large portion of meat. To save money, add some cheap items to the menu. Potatoes, carrots, whatever. You can toss the veggies in the same pan or pot as the turkey, cook it all together. So simple, and it will give you multiple servings. You can feed a whole family with this thing, or you can feed yourself for several days. And these days, value like this is exactly what you need. Read more
