Apparently I didn’t read the full description, so I was pleasantly surprised when I received a bag to carry the bottle in - not only the bottle with 3 lids, two straws, and a straw cleaning brush. The bag is necessary because I got the 64oz (half gallon) size, so it’s hard to find an easy way to carry it. This size is also too large to fit in any cup holders - if you want that, get the 32oz size. I tested it with iced water. It stayed ice cold for 3 days, cool for two more days, & then it was room temp. I haven’t had the chance to test it with hot, but I anticipate that it will keep it piping hot for 1.5-2 days, warm for the following 1-1.5 days, & room temp after that. The three lids allow you to have (1) a straw to drink from, (2) a canteen type spout, & (3) an insulated top [great for soups, stews, chowders, etc.]. The outside finish is matte & textured. If you want smooth, Starry Indigo is not for you. I, personally, LOVE it!! It’s beautiful &, because of that, I enjoy drinking my water - which is new for me as water and I don’t usually get along. As long as the lids are closed, it will be water tight (leak proof). The only one you have to be careful of is the straw lid. If it’s not fully closed (mouth piece folded down), it will leak. I'm sitting in bed at 2 am writing this review to express how much I LOVE this water bottle. 4 years ago, I bought the bottle as a durable sports bottle to take sailing with me in college. Since then, it has become essential to my day-to-day life. The Durability is amazing. Not only did I use it for sailing, but over the past 2 years, it has traveled across the world on over 50 flights. During that time, it endured a year in my fire pack while I was a wildland firefighter. For the $20 I paid, I couldn't imagine a better bottle. There are different caps and accessories, but I've kept it to the one I like and put the others in storage. I have dropped the bottle and abused it in every way— even lost it a few times. It always endures, and it still does not leak. The weight feels just about right, giving it some heft justified by the capacity and durability. The only issue is that the full capacity can't be drank from the open straw-like top. I'd estimate the bottom 4 ounces require unscrewing the lid and drinking directly from the sides. Read more
