This case is really good and high quality. It is large, but the Switch 2 is larger overall compared to the switch. The case also has space for a portable battery or the charger in case you need to take it on the go. Which is very nice, but again makes the case pretty big. The hand grips are comfortable and feels sturdy. Having 3 different options for what sort of grips I can use was a nice option to have. There are not many case & grip combos for the Switch 2 quite yet (writing this Oct '25), but currently this seems like the best deal for you dollar. Would reccomend Read more

I went through quite a few grip and case combos before I landed on this one. This is my favorite by far, and the fact that it comes with a case makes it worth every penny. I see a lot of people complaining about the sturdiness of the locking mechanism, but I have not had an issue so far (I don't remove it often though). The best feature is the ability to mix and match the grips; I have the largest one for the left hand, and the pistol for the right. With the thumb stick being lower on the right joycon, the larger sized grip made it more difficult to reach, which was easily remedied due to the feature. The kickstand still pops out, but the grips act as a kick stand anyway. With grips on, the switch fits the dock no problem . 10/10 The case is everything you need as well. The cavity in the far back holds the charger, headphones, and has more space for miscellaneous things (not the bracket to turn the joycons into a controller though). The switch is well protected including the screen and the games are well secured. Outer shell and switch have survived multiple throws from my toddler, so I think it has paid for itself so far. Purchased another product similar to this but the handsets or at a very strange angle making a very uncomfortable on the wrists. Purchase this one that comes with various sizes and it works perfectly! It fits well on the device and seems to be of good quality. If it's easily on, and it's easy to change out the different hand sizes. It offers protection to the device at a great value. Highly recommended. Read more

The switchable L/R grips are great to allow the user to customize their grip, but the part that holds the switch is very flimsy. Pro is that it doesn't add much weight to the switch 2, but the unit feels like it would break if thrown in a bag while not connected to the switch 2. The top locking mechanism is also annoying, but you really don't need it as the switch 2 fit is pretty snug without it. Overall the grip is a keeper but I wish the black part was a bit thicker to make sure it didn't break if you didn't baby it. Using this makes the switch 2 much more comfortable to play in handheld mode, so recommend if you can be careful to prevent it from breaking in half. Read more

Quality is nice and it's very comfortable. I only ever use the largest option for grips, as the other ones just don't add very much to the ergonomics in my experience. Wish it was a little heavier and the plastic felt less hollow, but besides that it's really functional and works great. Read more

I have the previous version of this grip on my Switch OLED and absolutely loved it, and the Switch 2 version is even better! It accomplishes the same goals as the original, but a few small refinements bring it to near perfection. The case is mostly similar to the original, although it no longer has the stand feature. The grip: First and foremost, it makes the Switch 2 comfortable to hold. It has three different grip handle options, I prefer the teardrop shape and don't bother with the others, but more options is better than fewer. And in a major improvement over the previous generation, all of the grip handles are black so it matches the Switch 2 nicely and has a professional look. Probably the biggest upgrade over the original is the locking clip. On the original, it was weirdly difficult to remove as you had to get the pressure just right, and often times it would wind up flying across the room. But this one just slides into place and has a small switch to lock and unlock it, so using it couldn't be easier! This is a wonderful improvement. Time will tell if the locking switch is a failure point, but it feels pretty solid so far. As for installation, you just slide the Switch 2 into the grip and install the locking clip. It holds the Switch 2 with just the right amount of snug, but not so much that it puts unwanted pressure on the system. My only note is that on the original version, the little rubber pads eventually started to move around after frequent use, so we'll see if that happens here. It is also dockable, and unlike the original, you can still use the USB ports on the side of the dock without the grip handle getting in the way on the left side. It does not appear to interfere with the dock or put any unwanted pressure on it, so once again, a huge improvement over the original. Also, the kickstand still works very well with the grip installed, even with the larger handles. The case: This is a large, sturdy case that provides great protection and has room to hold plenty of accessories. Interestingly, it came with the instructions for the original MaxCarry case, which has some features not present on the new one, such as the built-in stand. But given that the kickstand works so much better on the Switch 2 version, this feature is unnecessary on the new version. I do wish it had a nicer carry handle (the original had a rubber grip, this one is just a solid piece of fabric) but the one it has is ultimately fine. The verdict: Overall I think this grip/case combo is a winner! It truly makes the Switch 2 a joy to use in handheld mode for long play sessions, and it honestly looks like an official part of the system. The ONLY real negative is that you need to entirely remove the system from the grip to remove the Joycons from the system, so if you do that frequently, you may wish to opt for a case that facilitates that a little better (although you will sacrifice rigidity). But if you're like me and rarely use the motion controls and such, this is a non-issue. I think the best part is that it makes such a huge improvement to the user experience, all while being relatively minimalist and still maintaining the overall sleek look and feel of the system. I will update my review if I notice any issues, but as it stands this is by far the best grip and case combo for the Switch 2! Read more
