Like a red hot knife through butter! I purchased these specifically for use at a food bank. We take in large bags and boxes of food. We struggled with cutting the thick netting and the double walled cardboard. I was astonished at how fast, accurate, and effortless these thick durable materials were cut through. Call me amazed. Perfect size for my average hands. Great value. Looks good, but function is more important. Huge time and effort savings. Very impressive. Highly recommended. I bought these and some 13" heavy duty scissors at the same time. These are so much better in every way. They cut just as easily as the bigger scissors, their handles aren't uncomfortably far apart when fully open, and the way their handles are offset means one side of the item you're cutting doesn't need to bend upward like it does with the larger scissors. I also popped the caps off the hinge: the scissors are bolted together and not riveted so when the hinge eventually loosens (as all scissors do), you can easily tighten it back up again. Very nice!
