If you yearn for a 50s diner style coffee cup, or even if you don't, these are superb cups. I bought the whole lot of 36, even though I just wanted one, because I liked the style. Each of the 36 cups was perfectly made, no defects. The stripes are hand painted, which lends them a certain charm. They are expresso cup size, not large mugs. I prefer this size for a cup of strong coffee. I have large hands, but I can just fit my finger into the handle. They arrived before the due date, and the packaging was adequate. I fell in love with them from the start. They are a bit thicker than most modern cups, so things stay hot or cold for longer. It is very comfortable drinking from them due to the thickness. Read more

I love little teacups. I went on a hunt for some and Amazon had the best final price for the restaurant style cups- restaurant supply places online want high shipping, have a minimum order, have a surcharge for small or private orders, or a combination. These are not white like the picture. They are closer to a natural stoneware color. The bands are clearly handpainted and vary in thickness (and well-done-ness) both between cups and even on the same cup. The glaze is inconsistent- a few of my cups have bubbling in the glaze. Many of my cups have specks or smears or dots of other colors. I think the picture is of the very best cup they ever made. Despite the cosmetic imperfections, I love these cups. The flaws actually make them seem older or more artsy than they really are. They hold heat incredibly well. If you run them under hot water before filling them, drinks stay hot for a very long time. If you don't, they stay hot for almost a very long time. They are just perfect accompanying a pot of tea or espresso. (I better like them, I have 36 of them.) Read more
