Update! I called the company (#is on inside of the box) and the customer service was wonderful. They said that they thought they had fixed the problem. They send me a prepaid label to send my remaining pods back so that they could investigate and also mailed me a bunch of their other coffee. The taste is good if you can get them to brew! It would only brew half a shot before becoming just a little drip. Defective design I guess. I would love a refund since I now have 40 pods that I can’t really use! Read more

Listen to the warnings. While this seems like decent quality coffee, unfortunately, as others have noted, there is a defect in the capsule manufacturing and many if not most did not work in our Nespresso machine. They often do not allow for proper water flow and very little or nothing comes out. In addition, the noise they make does not make it sound like they are healthy for the machine. When we tried to return on Amazon they wanted “pictures” of the defect which we did not know how to document in jpeg format so we opted to give up and write this review instead. Read more

These capsules are better than several other less expensive Nespresso replacements, but like so many, they seem to mistake a higher "intensity" for a more robust flavor. Compared to the Arpeggio capsules, for instance, they're slightly stronger tasting, but also slightly muddy. In addition, there's a small aftertaste of chemicals, which I assume is because they use a solvent-based decaffeination process rather than Swiss Water process. There's a lack of smoothness normally associated with a good espresso, also. I don't know how to describe it except to say that overall the flavor is "bumpy". (I do realize that doesn't make a lot of sense...) Although they're all right, I'd rather pay a bit more and get a much better coffee out of it when I can. Read more

I am trying out different decaf capsules for my Nespresso Cube. This version looked interesting enough to try. I tend to like aluminum capsules over plastic ones since I've had issues with plastic ones before so I was feeling good about these when they arrived. The first 3 capsules I tried had structural failures during brewing. I'm still not sure what happened but I heard what sounded like a seam blowing and the sound of the water flow changed, got louder and higher. The coffee flow dropped as well so that most of the water ended up in the disposal tray. The capsule itself had coffee grounds all over it and the white material near the capsule seal was broken and lifted in one spot. I won't be trying any more capsules in that Nespresso machine unless I figure out how to jury rig some kind of washer to put pressure on the seal as it goes in. The flavor of the coffee that came out was quite good so it is a pity that the capsules themselves fail. And since I can't use them the way I had wanted (to make a full espresso with each capsule), the value for money rates very low as does the overall rating. Read more
