My wife told me to quit fooling around with tables and books to mount our holiday projector out the front window. For once, I paid attention. Still, I was dubious. I wanted a certain height to get the projection right. When this are arrived, I was pleasantly surprised. It was sturdily made, even though slightly higher than other similar products. It had parts that were easily assembled. It had 2 elastic belts to hold the projector in place, the ability to easily adjust the projector, and a piece of material to cover the projector plate while still offering a gentle protection. We purchased the CAHAYA Projector Stand Tripod Adjustable to hold our projector. This is a very sturdy tripod/stand with plenty of room for our projector and space for the phone that we attach to the projector for streaming. We don't extend the stand to its highest height to watch project onto the screen - so it is plenty tall for our needs. Since we don't use projector often enough it will probably double as a music stand. As I mentioned, this is a solid stand and it shouldn't be considered "portable". It will shrink down to a little under two feet but the tray (where one lays the projector) does not shrink - thus you have this 16x11inch connection to the tripod that is screwed on. Either keep it all extended and placed somewhere or fold it all down and try to find room where it won't fall - certainly don't let it fall on anything breakable since the tray is heavy. When the stand is opened it is very sturdy and even with a small bump it doesn't budge. This perfectly works for what we wanted - a projector stand/music stand - however I took one star off because "portable" means able to be carried and not take up much room. With the tray being screwed onto the tripod this means it doesn't provide much portability or hiding it away when not in use. It has a nice weight, but it can be "portable" in that it can be carried easily from room-to-room. We look forward to using this for years to come based on how it feels and its build. Read more

I often accompany my husband to meetings, appointments, and other events where I am stuck for hours on the sidelines. I have a laptop computer so that I can work online, but balancing a heavy machine on my lap is uncomfortable after just a bit of time. I thought this projector stand tripod might help by serving as a portable desk, and it is perfect for that. It's portable, lightweight, and easily adjusts to the correct height, and you won't need tools to assemble it since everything is connected. The height can be adjusted from a sitting to a standing position and the tray tilts to a desired position. I took it with me to a recent six-hour meeting and it was perfect. The stand is sturdy enough to stay put and not tip. It's the second stand I've ordered; the first one was much more expensive and i ended up sending it back. This one is a keeper and I am so happy to have it with me during the hours I sit on the sidelines since it has made the difference between working and working comfortably. Read more

I use this all the time. I wasn't sure how sturdy it would be when I ordered it. I use it for my laptop when I'm working with my laser or printer. It gives me lots of height options and is very stable. I would like it if it rolled a little easier but other than that it's a good addition to my office. Great product for the price. Read more

Doesn't come apart/fold into easily transported or stored components. I was unpleasantly surprised to learn that the desk attaches to the support with four bolts, rendering it impractical to disassemble every time you need to use your projector at a different site. Never assume! Nowhere in the info or the reviews do I see mentioned anything about folding and storage. It would be difficult to find a suitable bag for this when pulled apart. Otherwise the stand is "ok". Many projectors are heavy (mine is) and I wouldn't want to put it on this stand with it raised very high... but this is probably not often necessary. When set above about 3' tall, the stand is precariously wobbly. If I were to choose again, I would choose a different stand. Debating about returning. Read more
