Great Costume

I bought this for an all-day Halloween office event at work. (Last minute purchase, arrived in 2 days as promised). **Pro's: (Truth) Everyone loved the costume. Much to my surprise, I won best costume, despite some very elaborate competition. Very light weight, so did not overheat despite wearing it for about 13 hours. The fake "shirt" is really a vest, with no sleeves. The jacket has "fake" shirt cuffs sewn in so it looks like the same shirt. Unbuttoned shirt front is perfect for obnoxious chest hair (real or fake) I was concerned about size, but the Large fit me fine, despite a 37" waist on a 5'9" frame. Pants are very long (one size fits all) but were easily hemmed with double sided tape. Waist is elastic. It does NOT look good without the matching jacket to cover it up. ** Con's: (Dark side of Truth) Very lightweight synthetic material with a very low melting point. This is a costume only and not "real" clothing. Arrived in a small package VERY WRINKLED! Against the label warnings, I had to use an iron to make it presentable. Because of the thin synthetic material, I took my time experimenting to find the right mixture of heat, steam and pressure without ruining it. I found the "Silk" setting to be most effective. Steamer by itself did nothing. Fore best effect: I added extra's to the costume and it really helped achieve the WOW factor: "Big hair" wig and mustache upgrade, fake chest hair, some bling gold chains and retro big framed rose colored glasses (total about another $20 plus raided my old stuff in the attic). The "fro" wig and big "Magnum PI" mustache helped transform mild me into dancing, pimping mystery disco man. Read more

70's Party Costume Contest Winner

It's a really nice costume after you add some accessories like a wig, necklace, and some sunglasses. I even won a costume contest at a party with it! I wear a Large shirt so I order it in a large and it fit like I would expect. The material is kinda thin but not too bad. If you are looking for a 70's costume, this is definitely a great choice as long as you add the accessories to it. Read more

Perfect for a 70's Party

Bought this for my husband for a Soul Train Party. He loved it and it fit perfect. I also bought some platform shoes from Amazon to go with it. It does not come with the hat so I bought is separately. Read more

Fits well, got rave reviews, make sure you get the hair to match

Here's what you get in the package: Pants, undershirt, overshirt, mustache. It's important to note that you DO get a mustache with this costume package - and if you get the associated wig you'll get another mustache in that package as well. The pants and shirts fit well - I'm 5'11" and 190lbs. The costume isn't too tight and even though the material is a stretch fit, I didn't feel uncomfortable or tight in the costume. The material flows well and helps create the "groove" of the costume. I paired this with leather slippers that seems to fit the mood, and since I have some chest hair I did have the shirt buttons open a bit. If you don't, then you can either button up or get some fake chest hair. The costume is washable - in cold water and very low heat only. It dries very fast and I didn't notice any shrinking or wrinkling. With this costume you really do get what you see - the brown and cream colours are perfect for the era, and if you add a little groove to your walk you'll fit right into the disco scene. A note about the mustache - it comes in two pieces with sticky tape on the back. It doesn't work over existing facial hair so you might either go with what you've got, or be sure to do a clean shave or the tape will not stick to your face. The mustache is also pretty flat, so you will want to try to comb it up a bit, but I didn't have a huge amount of success there. But it didn't matter - the costume still got rave reviews and laughs. I packed it into a box and will use it again when needed. A solid 4 star product. Read more

Super cheap material

Disappointed in the overall product. It’s a weird feeling material, thin, fits true to size. Read more

Let's Dance

Looks very close to the picture. The waist band is very flexible. Great for fat people. The pants are very thin and not warm. Great for discoing. You will have to buy a wig though. Telling people you are a sleezeball is kind of weird especially if you are trying to pick up chicks. You will have this conversation while you are wearing the costume: Person1: Hey dude, what is your costume? You in Disco costume: This music sucks where is the disco music? Person1: I don't get it.
