My dog absolutely loves this bed. We have a mini dachshund, and it gives him plenty of room to stretch out comfortably. The bed is very soft and warm, and he seems to feel extra cozy in it. He either rests his head on the back pillow or lays right up against it, which he clearly enjoys. One thing I really like is that it drapes over the edge of my couch, helping protect it from his nails when he jumps on and off. Cleaning is also easy—I was able to wash the entire bed without any issues. The pillow isn’t removable, but it still fit in my washer just fine. I have no idea how this product got so many good reviews, it feels incredibly cheap. The pillow part is not very stuffed and is very Lumpy. The bed part that hangs down is incredibly thin. I thought it might have some kind of material inside of it to make it more cushy but it just feels like a crappy pillow sewn to a small crappy blanket. The handle is thinner than I was expecting and doesn't really do a great job of staying in the couch. I would pay $10 at most for this item, definitely not worth $45. There's a zipper in the back and I thought maybe it was so that you could put a cushion inside of it at least but the zipper only opens up to the pillow part, so I guess you could stuff it more if you wanted to but I feel like if you buy something for $45 it should come sufficiently stuffed already. For the price I paid I thought I was getting a "more quality item". Please let me explain....dog "stuff" is out of control in prices and I do travel with all 5 of my chihuahuas. Yep, got one more added to the mix (she was dropped off bc I'm apparently known in my neighborhood as the person who works with "troubled/abused" chihuahuas - the lady drove right up to my house, asked my name handed me a screaming puppy covered in feces and sped off - I didn't have time to take a picture of her license plate bc I was mowing my yard). Anyhow, all my dogs travel with me, I like to make them comfortable bc it makes for a more enjoyable and carefree drive. Let me tell you, it is fluffy, so that means after washing gotta air dry and then dryer to fluff, the non-skid nubs come off in the wash and really do not hold it in place. That's okay. I mean my dogs are not the rough and tough, rowdy type of dogs. They love the fluffy aspect, they love to hide underneath it and it lays well on hotel beds. The stuffing in the "cradle" is NOT up to snuff. I bought an orthopedic bed for the dogs and the stuffing in that - INCREDIBLE, (has lasted me years) alas I can not say that about this item. I also would like to say the the fabric or quality of the furry blanket is MEH...... it feels like it contains cotton in the fabric/fur rather than being all man-made fur/fabric is a minus. it is NOT silky smooth. It has the appearance in all the photos of being silky and oh so inviting but trust me, I have farmer hands and this is NOT a kind soft and fluffy that you wanna sink into. I have found that with Pets - man made fabric for bedding is amazing - it doesn't hold accidents and it doesn't hold scents, it's much easier to wash, air dry and I don't have to fluff up in the dryer. I LIKE this dog bed enough to keep it - I don't love it. I'd tweak it a tad if I was the manufacturer - more stuffing in the "cradle/neck part", more resilient, a scrid of padding in the flatter portion and a silkier, man made fur for the pets. Perhaps I'm a snobby buyer - but honestly...I do consider my pets items for comfort, durability and can I clean this properly without stink holding on. I'd say go ahead and buy this and judge it for yourself. My dogs are not as picky as I am. You will LIKE this bed, you may even love it - I'm just giving you my take on this item. This bed/furniture protector is perfect. I don't understand all the negative reviews saying it's crunchy and not soft. There's nothing crunchy about it and it's very soft. My dog loves it and my cats steal it. I bought it to keep my bedding clean, but I am planning to buy another for my white love seat. The bolster area in the back gives just enough support, but it seems easy to remove for laundering. It will keep my pets warm all winter. I bought a size small for my medium-sized dog, but plan to get a larger one to cover more of my bed. Read more
