The material is thick, which makes it a little warm. For a white dress, I in would prefer it to breathe a little more. The dress itself is a little tight with very loose arms. I ordered a size up and it still was a bit tight. It fits okay though and looks very attractive on. It did not have much stretch. It is also not see through. It is very well made. Read more

Calvin Klein’s work clothing line has been my go-to since college, when I needed modest, professional dresses that didn’t look cheap, but also didn’t break the bank. This one is another perfect example of that balance. I ordered it in black, size 4, aiming for a more comfortable fit, but it ended up feeling quite generous on my frame (more than I would have liked), even with my larger hips. For reference, I’m 5’4”, 110 pounds, and wear a 32C or 34B in Victoria’s Secret bras. I typically wear size 2 or 4 in dresses, depending on how fitted I want the look. While size 4 gave me extra room to breathe (which I usually prefer for work), I think I could have gone with a size 2 and still felt comfortable, as the dress stretches to wrap the body well. I am keeping it still because it still looks good as an office dress, and black is always my favorite color. If it were to be size 2, I would also wear it to go out for happy hour or a quick drink after work by pairing bold jewelry. The fabric feels durable and not thin at all, structured enough to last, as long as you avoid frequent machine washing and drying. I was worried about this dress fitting me. Amazon's little recommended for you blurb said I should order an 8 so that's what I did. Fortunately, and rarely, clothes that I ordered on Amazon fit!!! The shape is very complimentary. The sleeves aren't short, such a delight (Im 5' 10" and often have sleeve issues). I didnt have to squeeze myself into. It fit nicely and it does have give to it when you have Im really hungry and want to eat everything kind of day. The little shoulder puffs are a nice feature and I like the fit of chest area. I am a fan of Calvin Klein dresses for the most part. But this one fits a little odd. I'm 5'4 and 129lbs, and ordered size 6 (my usual size). The top doesn't fit well as the shoulders are too baggy and puffy. It also doesn't lay well against my neck and chest. Towards my midsection it fits better and the length is good.
