This is a pretty sheath dress. It has a simple silhouette with open, split sleeves. It does favor a taller woman than shorter. I am a bit busty and it works, but it does look great with a belt. You do need to gather the sides in carefully so they don't bunch under your belt. Just hold the fabric from the top in one hand and the bottom a few inches above and below the belt. Then sort of pull and shift the fabric into gentle pleats, smoothing things out as you go. With the belt in place, nothing shifts. I don't find it to be a mini dress, but it hits me a few inches above my knee. It looks good with or without tights. It has been great to wear to holiday parties, church and date night. I can't believe this is supposed to be a Calvin Klein dress. The quality is awful. I understand that this is a shift dress, but it's more like a tent. This has zero shape to it, including up at the sides of the chest, where the pictures show some form-fitting. Those don't exist. The material is not a great quality. The best part about this dress is the color. It's a beautiful royal blue. That's where the positive ends for me. It's scratchy, not well-made, and the sleeves are much less stylish in person than in the picture. I would not spend money on this. The ultramarine blue color of this dress is striking in person. The crepe fabric feels substantial and has a nice weight to it, which helps it hang without clinging. This dress is absolutely amazing. I’ve never ordered a CK dress before and they’re now a brand I seek out because the quality of this dress is superb. The fabric is thick, and the dress feels substantial. You know how you can just feel a garment and know it’s high quality? That’s this dress. The zipper is strong and the stitching is solid. The quality just shines through. The color is so vibrant and the fabric has a bit of stretch and flow to it. It’s a shift style, so it’s not meant to be form fitting, but the cut out detailing on the sleeve gives it such interesting architecture. I love the knotted detail at the bottom of the sleeves. I have a high regard for Calvin Klein. I love their shoes and dresses, which are bold but fun and refined at the same time. With this dress, I was on the fence because I wasn't sure about its split sleeves, but I decided to take a chance anyway. Unfortunately, the real product doesn't look like the photos. The splits are huge and unruly, and the ties at the end of the sleeves are more prominent than they appear in the photos. As for the fabric, it's rough on the outside but soft on the inside (dry cleaning only). In terms of the fit, the shoulder is true to size - I ordered a size 4 - but the waist is very wide. It's so wide, in fact, that the dress might even serve as a maternity dress. Unless you have very large hips, you will not fill out this dress. But what about the beautiful photos, you say? The model looks great in them, with the waist cinch clearly visible. Well, the real thing has no cinch at all. It has absolutely no shape, meaning that the dress was pinned back to create an illusion of a cinch for the photos. The splits and ties also appear to have been carefully positioned and pinned so that they appear minimal and unintrusive. This is not exactly deceptive advertising; almost all clothing stores use pins liberally to cinch the dresses for the mannequins. This dress is an absolutely beautiful color. I usually wear a size 8, but I probably could have gone for a 6 on this dress. It runs a little roomy! The material is thick and very obviously good quality. Fully lined! This dress is elegant and pretty conservative. The neckline is high, the arms mostly covered, and you could wear this anywhere. It leans toward a style for more mature aged people, but I will still wear it now. Read more

My wife wore this to her holiday party and got a ton of compliments! This is a very nice, simple shift dress with a little extra going on with the sleeves. While it is polyester, the fabric has a quality weight to it. It drapes nicely and complements you without being too tight and show-y. The sleeves are a fun design. But that's a personal choice so I am not changing the star rating either way for that. Read more
