So my photos of this dress have a story behind them because his dress absolutely ROCKS!!! Today I went to court in this dress (and won), then I went to work in this dress (and received compliments), then I went and cleaned out my dad's very dirty house (and was comfortable), and then I came home to walk in to dogs (and was still comfortable). This single piece dress (no zippers) was really comfortable and heavy enough to no worry about it being seeing through and worked for my professional, casual, and business-casual atmosphere. Incredible stitching and quality materials, this dress is elegant or casual depending on what accessories it is paired with. The material is heavier than I expected, but it feels good. It is also great for travel as I had it packed and it arrived wrinkle free. The sizing runs slightly large but I am not sure enough to fully size up. So, I like it but it's also weird. The belt kind of hangs strangely and I haven't decided if I like that or not. As a petite, it runs a bit long and so I am deciding if I will keep it as is or if I will take it to a seamstress. The quality is amazing, heavy fabric and excellent stitching. I normally wear a Size 6, but sometimes, because of cut, I need a Size 4 or a Size 8. Looking at this dress and knowing myself I felt I should try the Size 8 and it did work for me. I keep an eye out for A-line dresses because they suit my body, but even then there can be puckering or bagginess, not to mention uneven hems or poor stitching. It was nice to drop this dress on and have it land just perfectly, accentuating some curves while help to mask others. I like the more modest decolletage and bit of cap sleeve, while the sleeveless design is good for warmer days. Overall this dress visually removes visual distraction from the top, adding to a more streamlined visual flow leading the eye to follow the the dress as it drapes down. In a word, this dress is flattering. I prefer a high percentage of cotton in my clothing but this is outerwear and I can tolerate the total synthetic nature of the material used. Stitching and finishing are good. I was prepared to belittle this dress but instead I am charmed and look forward to wearing it. I know you may be a bit frustrated when reading my review. How are you supposed to know if this dress is good for you? My personal experience can only encourage you to try. In other words, fit is something you can only personally "figure" out (is that where the expression comes from?) by trying a garment on.
