These women's mid-calf boots are really nice. They fit very well for the most part. There was a little tightness on my right foot only in the toe box area. That area is a little narrow for my slightly wide feet. I think these would fit someone with average to narrow feet very well. Oddly enough there was plenty of room in the heel. Because of the narrow toe box, I can't really wear thick socks with these to help take up some room in the heel. I wore regular socks and they were fine. Actually when I laced them up, they didn't feel as loose on the heel anymore. They stayed on my feet very well. They have a decorative buckle that is removable. They are a little on the heavy side. I feel like these would be great in the snow. I'm not sure I'd like them for hiking because I like to have a little more movement in my foot area than these allow since they do rise up to the mid calf level. They are definitely flexible enough in the soles. They have great traction built into the lug soles which helps to prevent skids and slips. The soles feel securely attached to the shoe. The heel height is perfect. They feel a little thick, making your lower legs look like tree stumps. However, this is because they are thickly padded to withstand the elements. They are very easy to lace up and will fit thicker ankles and calves. I appreciate the speed lacing hardware on the top few shoelace holes. It makes getting in and out of the shoes easier and faster since there is no side zipper. The material is really good and water resistant. It's like a thick canvas. These feel really durable and they will help keep your feet warm in cold weather. I ordered these in the XXL with my fingers crossed that they would fit. The tag on the shoe says US 10. right off the bat i'd say that it fits my foot well to say its comfortable. I had to size up since they didn't have my 1/2 sizing and im glad i went up. it definitely runs small. i could stand to run up another half size really. the style is utilitarian. combat boot looking for sure. the overall assembly is clean and looks durable. not like the high end boots, the sole are just adhered to the rest fo the boot and not stitched. not a lot of flexibility right off the bat. hopefully it breaks in quickly. the price seems reasonable for what youre getting. buy for looks is my suggestion. ... These boots have many perks. They are definitely waterproof. I’ve walked in them through snow and my feet kept warm and dry. The price is very low and great option if you need something that won’t break the bank. Originally when I order it was sized by Small, Medium, Large etc but I’m happy to see the product has switched to precise sizes. The color is a pretty brown.
