This replaces a water bottle of another brand that I do not like. I should have stayed with CamelBak Eddy. We have several of these and they look good, work well and last a long, long time. They don't leak and can be knocked around a bit without hurting them. You can buy replacement bite valves and straws if needed. I love this color! Read more
LOVE this water bottle! When they say leak-free, they mean it! I got the acai color, and it's a beautiful purple color. The mouthpiece flips up and folds down, and you have to bite on it to make the water come out. It's easy to carry, looks great, and is super easy to use. I highly recommend this amazing bottle! Great bottle. Holds a lot of water. Makes a sound like a truck breaking on the first sip but I personally like the noise. Also water falls out of the straw when you take the lid off so be sure to squeeze the mouth piece before completely removing otherwise you'll drip a bit. Read more
Camelbak water bottles are always reliable and perfect for students. I like the size for this one - the .6 L was too small, but this size is perfect for long hours studying. I wish there was a better way to clean the nozzles; I've seen some turn yellow, which is pretty nasty. Sturdy, reliable, and fast shipping. Plus, apparently there's a lifetime warranty, which I have yet to try out but will. Read more
Love this bottle. I mix my bcca powder with water for the gym. The bottle does not leak even if it falls to the ground. My very first bottle I have it for over a year and still performs like I first bought it. I like it so much I should buy stock in the company. Best water bottle I ever purchased and I have recommended it to many people I know. I am not a spokesperson for the product, I just love it. Read more
I've been using different sizes of the Camelbak Eddy bottles for a few years now and like them better than most other bottles. They're easy to carry and easy to drink from. HOWEVER, spill proof isn't leak proof. And they do leak both from the valve and with time, from the fitting between the lid and the base. I'll toss one in a bag to carry to work and the bag will be soaked by the time I arrive. Also the bite valves become moldy with consistent use and are difficult to clean. At $9.95 for 4 valves, I just keep a supply of replacement valves handy. That said, mold after just one month of use is kind of a drag.... But it still hasn't deterred me from multiple purchases - it's still my favorite bottle. Read more
CamelBak bottles are the best! No leaks. These come in great colors and the tops are interchangeable with one another. I like the flip up straw feature which feels secure - and you really know that it's closed before you put it in a bag with all of your other stuff! I have several camelbak bottles for my teens and have kept them long enough to buy a pack of replacement straws which work perfectly and increase the value of the bottles. I appreciate other purchasers' reviews and that is why I choose to write reviews. Amazon reviews help me choose which products to buy. I sort product choices by Average Customer Review to help decide which item to choose. I have found customer reviews to be very helpful and hope that I am paying it forward by providing this review. So I love this camelbak (awesome color!) except for 2 things which made me give it 1 star: 1) the open/close mechanism on the spout is much harder to use than the older edition. You can't open it with one hand, as I am constantly trying to do since I bought this to use as a nursing mom carrying around a baby all the time! Super annoying. 2) I bought this on 12/2/16. I just noticed today (1/25/17) that the soft plastic nozzle that I drink out of is FULL of what I can only imagine is gross dark moldy residue. I use this water bottle constantly (refill 5+ times per day) and I do not wash it every single day. Who washes their water bottle every day? I usually empty it and pull the pieces apart and let it dry out every so often. Anyway, I've only had this for 6 or so weeks. It's hard to see through the plastic but I must have looked at it in a different light than usual because I noticed the dark color, and lo and behold, serious YUCK. Luckily I had baby bottle cleaning supplies, so I could get inside there and scrape it out, but it's not all gone and I'm not sure how to remove it. I'd recommend that Camelbak make the nozzle bacteria or mold-resistant, or choose a different shape. The old camelbak I replaced when I bought this one never had this problem. WORD TO THE WISE: wash the plastic nozzle every day in soap! Read more
