I'm a Bonified Boomer (December 1946). i grew on Cambell's Soups (mom was not a good cook) I really like how Campbell's are bringing new flavors to market. My favorite is the Cream of Onion Soup. Lacks salt and pepper, and I do add dried tarragon and thyme for to nice boost and celery salt for flavor. A good product and a star in our home. Read more

This is one of Campbell best soup!! Not too salty and great flavor. I used for sausage and potato casserole, added a few other seasonings (pepper, onion powder, garlic powder etc) and the casserole turned out great with a lot of taste. Read more

I used this French Onion condensed soup as an ingredient when I made my own onion soup. I'd sliced a red onion and yellow bell pepper, and sauteed them in butter until they started to carmelize. Then I added the can of Campbell's soup and about a can of water and simmered it for a half hour or so. I'd hoped to replicate a soup that a local coffee shop used to make and mine turned out really good...especially for the first try! 😸 I'm very pleased and will make it again soon. Thank you to Campbell's and Amazon Fresh! Read more

Calling Campbell's line of condensed soups "soup" is a disservice, on multiple levels. These days, these familiar red and white labeled, metal cans provide more options as recipe additions, rather than as standalone soup. French Onion is a perfect example. It has the basic ingredients, but no pizzazz. Onions and beef broth, but no wine. However, added to a savory dish, it adds an oniony "wow" factor that would take hours to duplicate, if you started with raw onions. Read more

After all the money I’ve spent over the years of my adult life, on fancy restaurant French onion soup… I finally found THIS?!! Honest, this soup is actually crazy delicious, I opened up a can, threw it in a pot, (noted a massive amount of onions), heated it up, then poured it over a hunk of stale French bread. Added a slice of mozzarella and a little Parmesan… and it truly was comparable to some of the better restaurants I’ve had quality French onion soup in. Amazon’s subscriber & save program brought the price down further by a few cents. Overall, for right around $2.00 total I had a bowl of soup I could definitely compare with $10 and more in restaurants. Will definitely be buying this again! Read more

I came across a casserole recipe that called for cream of onion soup. I did not even know there was this kind of soup. None of my local stores carried it, so I ordered from Amazon. Tried the recipe, loved it and have since ordered 8 more cans. I even added it to a homemade turkey vegetable soup and it was delicious. now I've shared the soup and recipe with all my friends. They all loved it. Read more
